Newbie - no plan, arrive in 2 days!

Family of 4 arriving Friday night and spending 3 days at Universal, Saturday, Sunday & Monday. We will have early entry & express passes. We plan to use early admission. Other than that, we have no plan. I looked at orlandoinformer and they have a 3 day touring plan, but then I'm reading you don't really need to have a plan and just enjoy it.

It feels strange to not have any plan at all and I don't want to be walking around aimlessly so if anyone has any tips or suggestions, I'm all ears : )

Just go have fun! Check out the USO site so you have an idea of the lay of the land. You don't need a plan at all. Slow down and take it all in. There are a lot of details to see and experience. Remember HHN will be going on Friday and Saturday so US will close at 5 those two days.

You are right - with Express Pass, you shouldn't need much of a plan, unless you want to see all of the regular ride queues. Plan to ride the Harry Potter rides early or late in the day. Have fun. I arrive in just 2 short weeks!

Yes, it does feel strange when it is your inaugural trip. You will get over it pretty quickly. My first four-day trip, I had touring plans all typed up. Never used them past the first half hour. Then the bliss of not needing them washed over me. Ahhhhh.

Only things to worry about: Harry Potter rides with no Express Pass -- do on early entry and/or at night. Despicable Me even with express pass (that is open during early entry if Universal is the park open for your early entry). Do Despicable Me during early entry if possible or first thing. Otherwise, no worries.

Yeah - this is the great thing about universal - you really dont need to plan especially when you have express pass.

As other said take advantage of the early entry to do the HP ride.
