Newbie Needs Some help

I've been to Disney twice now. Once when I was in Elementary School and once in College. I'm planning my first trip as a family with my DH and DS3. I've been lerking around getting ideas but I'm not understanding some things.

What are ADR's?
What is a Disney Account and the PINs?
and
Must you stay on site to get the Extra Magic Hour?

I am booked for a week off site and planning to do 4 day passes (not park hoppers). Not sure much past that yet.

ADRs are Advanced Dining Reservations

Disney Account is probably referring to Disney Credit card holders, but I'm not sure on that. PINs are basically discount codes that Disney sends out.. I think to the Credit card holders and possibly frequent guests
