Newbie needs making reservation advice

I have been a proud owner of DVC for 1 month now! Will soon be making my first reservation and was hoping for any help or advice you could give please. I have read alot, but nothing like hearing it first hand from all of you. Is it better to make them online or with a MS agent? Is it exactly 11 months from the check in day that you can make them? Best time to call if I go thru MS? Thanks!

Is it better to make them online or with a MS agent?

online if you feel comfortable with computers. you can book as early as 8am EST.

if you call MS, check online afterwards to verify that what you expected to happen, happened.

Is it exactly 11 months from the check in day that you can make them?

yes. for example, you can book Dec 26 starting the morning of Jan 26.

depends upon what you want

standard view - BWV or BLT - yes as soon as possible

when you go visit the DVC member site - it has the dates you can start making reservation for both 11th month and 7th month time.
