Newbie needs a little help

We haven't owned for that long and we have just a few questions. If I book now for a DVC resort for OCt. and then want to change later is that possible as long as there is vacancy? Does that have any affect on our points?

We are planning another trip in Oct. and really want AKV (we have a 2 yr old who LOVES animals). So we are going to book at SSR and try for AKV. We are going to buy AKV we are just trying to determine how many pts. we should buy before we make the call.

not a problem changing your resort at all. now if there is a point change (your new resort needing less points) - then be sure to do it before the 30 days before your arrive.

otherwise those other points will go into holding. Most people don't like to deal with holding.

You would have to use your points before the end of your use year. You might be able to bank some if you meet the banking deadlines.
