Newbie Introduction

Hi, All! My name is Ann, and I recently found this board. . . so cool!

I just returned from WDW on Monday. . .it was my first trip back since 1974!! Wow, things have changed! When I was there last, all that was there was the Contemporary, the Polynesian and the Magic Kingdom!

I was so excited to be able to share DW with my kids, although I was a little afraid that the "magic" might have been lost on me, since I'm 43 now. Hehe. . .Found I didn't need to worry about that. . I probably liked it more than my kids!

Unfortunately, my husband turned out to be a Disney-hater. . said he'll never set foot in DW again nor ever give them another penny! (grouch). . .That's ok, though. . I'm already planning another trip for the kids and myself, hopefully in October or next Spring. . Can't wait! This time for at least *six* days!

its okey to be old and love Disney.......cause my hubby and I have been going since our 26th anniversary......we only had found it and thought we made a boo boo by going.....NOT THE case....we love it and so do our kids (both went on their honeymoon to Disney) and now our grandkids love it......and it will be okey to go with just the kids .....Hope you attend our nightly chats .....Mondays are wish chats....Tuesday is Disney discussion....Wed is also......Thursday is pin chat .....Friday is cruise chat .......Saturday is disney and fun fun fun and Sunday is Disney vacation club.....

Welcome Ann!! WOW!!It sure had been a long time since visits.Were you able to go to all the parks ??

Why did your dh hate it so much....the crowds?? Take him again in October...the crowds will be much better and he might need another trip to fall in love.

This school year alone we have been in Nov,Dec,Jan,Mar,Apr,and are going again in a couple of weeks!!! Of course we also go to Universal and SeaWorld but we love going to Orlando.

I hope your dh will give WDW another chance. October might be a good time to go as the Food and Wine Festival is going on then. I've heard that it is a lot of fun! We're going to find out for ourselves this October.

Wow, thanks for the great welcome!!! I will have to check out the pin trading chat, for sure. . .I think between myself and the kids, I spent $200 on pins and lanyards!

~*~Sheila-- Ya know, I don't know why my h hated it so much. . well I do actually. . I hate to say it but my h is a "difficult" person to being with! He said he felt like they held you "captive" there. . :rolls eyes: Actually I think it was just too much $$$ for him. But then again he hates Christmas, too!

I'm thinking I'll just save the $$ and take care of the details myself, leave it open for him to come or not. . either way, *I'm* havin' Fun!

Hi and welcome! You're NEVER too old for Disney! You don't have to ever grow up! (Of course, I wouldn't exactly know, since I'm only twelve, but just look at my mom, she's living proof that there's a kid inside every adult!)
