newbie introduction--hello Disney Brides!!

Hey ladies,

I stumbled upon this site pretty recently...and instant addiction set in!

I have been lurking like crazy...often times avoiding my work.

My wedding date is 01/15/09. We are getting married at Leu Gardens and honeymooning in Disney (is there any other option?!). We'll be staying at Old Key West the whole time (parents are DVC members), and all other festivities will be on Disney property. Only our parents, grandparents, and siblings will be there.

We're planning to buy a house this fall, so we don't quite have the budget for a DFTW...so I am living vicariously through you all. I hope that's ok!

I just wanted to say hello and let you all know I am having SO much fun reading your planning journals. AMAZING!

Good for yoor parents owning DVC..we are looking into it and most likely going to join!!!!!!

My parents LOVE DVC--and so do I! I think they've had it about 10 years now. They originally bought points and made Boardwalk their home resort, and then last year they bought even MORE points and made Saratoga Springs their second home resort. I'm so jealous of all their visits! Luckily I get to tag along most of the time.

Thank you! I sure think so! DF actually made the sig for me. He is a total computer geek and will always jump at the chance to mess around in photoshop!

oh yes...DF makes fun of my Disney obsession daily..especially now that we have set the date and I am talking about it CONSTANTLY! I tell myself his teasing is all out of love...

oh good!! The pictures look gorgeous! For awhile I was looking at other resorts around Disney, or even the ones that are on Disney property but not OWNED by Disney...but I finally decided that if I couldn't be married at an actual Disney resort...no other resort would do.

Is your dog a Bichon??? I have a Bichon and they look similar!

Nope, he is actually a bit of a mutt! We call him a Cocka-Lhasa-Poo. His mom was a Cockapoo and dad was a Lhasa Apso. He has freakishly long back legs...and we're not quite sure where those came from... but we think they just make him even more adorable!



And thank you all for being so welcoming!!! Disney people are just the best.

This thread felt like a nice place to pop in and say hello.

I am also new and have been greatly helped in the last few days by everyone's reports of vendors, planners, etc.

I hope that our day will turn out as wonderful as some of the many I have seen here.

Thanks to Lynn, Maggie, Amanda, and all of the others for posting such great pictures and stories that others can learn from.

I completely agree. I'm on it most days. Is it sad to get withdrawal symptoms when you haven't been on it for a day !!!!

There should be a therapy group for it. Lol

My DF keeps making fun of me too. He used in the room and says, "What are you up to?" I generally would mumble something mildly incoherent about wedding stuff.

Now he just walks into the room, sees me on the computer, and sings, "Chatty McChat!" and goes and entertains himself elsewhere (i.e. dizpins).
