Hi all! I am a DL aficionado, and I've just started planning a family excursion to Europe this summer!:woohoo: I'm attempting to arrange 2-3 days in July at DLP, and I need all the help I can get! First major question: what would you say is the best hotel to fit 5 adults? I'd love a 2 or 3 bedroom suite (minimum 3 separate beds) with a shuttle to the resort. Any suggestions? Thanks so much :D

Hi, welcome to DLP :)

The on-site hotels only do rooms for 4 max with standard configuration of 2 double beds. Bunk beds are offered at Hotel Cheyene.

Family rooms for 5 are available at Newport Bay Club and the Disneyland Hotel. You will have more space if you book 2 rooms at any of the hotels. I'm sure some of the hotels will offer suites, but at a high premium.

All hotels have free shuttle buses to the parks - however the overall site of DLP means you can easily walk to the parks/train station/bus stance. It is all very close together.

Hope this helps :goodvibes

Most rooms have 2 double beds and you can get adjoining rooms. So I'd suggest you do that. :)

Depending on budget I'd suggest you go for either DLH (think Grand Floridian decor +better than Grand Californian location) or the Sequoia Lodge (like a little Wildeness Lodge)

DLRP don't seem to advertise their suites much so it's ha to find photos and information or prices.

Thanks for the quick replies! I've been looking at the onsite hotels, and as lovely as they all look (the DLH is SO gorgeous!) I think the cost of two rooms will be a little prohibitive. What about offsite hotels? All the different names and surrounding areas are quite confusing! It looks like my best bet might be aparthotels? :confused3

The Explorers can accommodate larger families (up to 6 or up to 10) you can see their room configurations in the Hotel FAQ sticky. It's very close by and is served by a free shuttle bus. If you do decide to book this hotel it's best not to book it as a package through Disney but to book through an alternative site and then purchase either park tickets or annual passes.
