Hello there,

OK so I'm a bit new here and am finding my feet. I have used forum boards before but have found that they attract some mean folk as well as some lovely ones - hope you're all nice :)

I thought I was a bit odd being addicted to Disney but I see I'm not alone. I live in England and have been over there 5 times now and we're planning another trip for 2008.

I am going to have a look around here now and try to suss out a signature!

Best wishes

:welcome: So glad you found us!

I believe you will find the majority of us to be very kind folk!!

Hi there and welcome! I see you are from Cornwall. Which part? I have been there twice and absolutely love it! My gr grandparents came from Cornwall. Some from Fowey, some from Camborne. Our town in northern Michigan is having a huge 'gathering' of Cornish folks this summer and the Holman-Climax choir is coming to perform! We are even having a day with the 'furry' dance!! Most DISer's are very nice and very caring people, so don't worry about being 'flamed.' If it should ever happen just get a thick skin and ignore it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion even if it differs from someone else. Most people here are helpers and Disney enthusiasts, so just have fun and ask if you need any info. These boards are a wealth of information about Disney. I used them quite extensively last summer b4 we went to Disneyland Paris.

Hi

I live about 5 minutes from St Michael's mount near Penzance - it is gorgeous but a very long away from Disney!!:tinker:

Thankyou for the welcome!

Nope, you're not alone. There's lots of us out here. :) Have you found the UK boards yet? They're a good group. Good luck with planning your trip. That's half the fun.

Hi

Thanks Olaf & Sticker231. I have been having a look at the UK boards but it may take me a while - there's so much of everything!! It is soooo good to have found this - I think I will become addicted very quickly :thumbsup2

hi there and welcome
i'm quite new too and from lincolnshire in the uk, its great to hear from other disney fanatics who also live in the uk. hope you enjoy your time 'disin' around!

Welcome aboard! We do get heated on certain subjects, as you will probably find out. But overall we are a fun, friendly, Disney obsessed group! Just don't mention putting 6 in a Value resort room or using a refillable mug from 1989 and you'll be fine!;)

I am new to join too, although I am guilty of lurking for a while. I think that is probably normal though. I look forward to reading the posts, since I have noticed that most of the posters seem nice.:)

Love Penzance! I have stayed there both times on my trips to Cornwall. I am taking my granddaughter to WDW next week as a bday present! I think I am more excited than she is!!! Marazion IS beautiful and I loved it! It was great 'walking on the water' to St Michaels Mount when the tide was out!

Where I live in northern Michigan is also a looooooong way to WDW - about 2000 miles! It takes a minimum of 2 airplane flights and anywhere from 6-9 hours depending upon connections. It is worth it though! One trip to London took 8 hrs and Disney was 9 1/2!! I wanted to take the 10 yr old to Cornwall this summer but her parents went ballistic last year when we were in Europe during the terrorist threat, so they said NO MORE OVERSEAS TRIPS! I disagree but am in the minority here! So we will ck out something closer to home.

Awww thankyou all so much for all the nice welcomes - I feel quite at home already! Am sure I will be frequenting this site very regularly! :cloud9:

:welcome: I haven't been here that long but I love it!!! You'll meet wonderful people and have lots of fun.

BTW: Have you been to Sanibel Island...off west coast of Fl?

Hi CaptainJackObsessed

Yes I have a few times and I love it as much as Disney. We try to have 2 weeks at Disney then a week on the island to recover :)

Have you been? I recommend it to everyone. The beaches are fabulous & full of shells and the wildlife is amazing. I love dolphins and there are loads of them there that come in so close to the shoreline to feed.
