I just stumbled onto here today and am overwhelmed with how talented you all are!!!!

I would love to make T-shirts for my DD and maybe me & DH too for our upcoming trip. I would also like to make her a passport for Epcot b/c we've never experienced this in our last two trips. Finally, I'd love to do an autograph something other than a book b/c she has two books already. I'm thinking I would like to do something that I can frame and put on a wall.

So, here's where I need some help from all you fabulous Disers.

1.) Where can I buy tank tops relatively cheap, but still nice, to do the iron on transfer? We are going in Sept so it will be HOT!

2.) I've never done an iron transfer. Hoping it is easy and comes with directions.

3.) Do I just search here for designs I might want to use or are they centrally located somewhere?

4.) What do you use to assemble the passports?

5.) Any ideas for the autographs besides a book?

Looking forward to getting any help I can! Thanks so much!

Well first welcome! I know that feeling completely. I came on here probably about a month ago and all of a sudden wanted to do everything! Ok I will try to answer your questions:

1. I would suggest lightweight t-shirts instead of tanks. Most of the tanks now are ribbed and they won't work at all. Walmart sells them for relatively cheap. Michael's is also having a sale this week on tees. 2 for $5

2. Transfers aren't incredably hard. They do come with directions. There also are a lot of tips on the board. I personally started with a t-shirt for my dad who wouldn't care if I messed it up a little bit. It sometimes takes a little bit before you can get a system down.

3. Anyone on this board is happy to help you out with what you're looking for. Just search around and ask nicely. Everybody is great here.

4. I got an autograph book bound at staples the other day. To laminate the front and back cover and get is bound was only $3. I would say if you want it to hold up go get it professionally done. It's still way cheaper than buying one in the parks and it's personalized as well.

5. I never done autographs in general. (I'm 21 and August is going to be my first time) so I'm probably not the best person to ask. I do like the framing idea. I've heard of someone having quilting squares signed and then making a quilt.

Hope all the helps! See you around the boards!

I just picked up a very cute tank at Target today (not ribbed) and I was at New York & Company over the weekend and all of their tanks were on sale. I think I picked one up for like $8. I got the kids ones at Walmart and Target for $3.

Thank you both for your responses!

I think I'm going to get T-shirts for DH and I at Michaels. I just rec'd an email from them for 20% off my entire order too! :thumbsup2

I'm going to get tanks for DD b/c it always so HOT for her. Thanks for the tip about Target and Walmart for the $3 tanks.
