And, any other advice would be appreciated!

Hi y'all,

I've been reading up on these boards for a while now, trying to plan our first trip to DLR. We've taken our kids to WDW once before, so we thought we'd try DLR this time around. We'll be going Nov 30 - Dec 3. Our family is myself and dh, and our 6 year old boy/girl twins. We'll be meeting my parents, who are both in their 60s, at DLR. We're staying at the Grand Californian.

So, here's what I have so far:
11/30 - no plans for lunch, dinner at Storytellers
12/1 - breakfast at Minnie and Friends, lunch somewhere, dinner at Cafe Orleans
12/2 - lunch at Blue Bayou
12/3 - lunch at Carnation Cafe

What do y'all think?

Sounds good to me! You should try out Whitewater Snacks at the GC for breakfast or the nachos look awesome for lunch/snack/whatever :thumbsup2

make sure you make reservations for BB ahead of time. the line for "stand by" when they open up is INSANE!!! imho it's overpriced and not very good.

i prefer to spend that kind of money at Napa Rose or some where in DTD such as Rainforest Cafe or Tortilla Joe's.

i think the 6 year olds would enjoy Rainforest Cafe. for a quick easy lunch or snack i suggest tomorrowland terrace. they generally have entertainment like the jedi training academy or bands playing there. it's very kid friendly. or the pizza place (name escapes me) over next to space mountain. they pump that great pizza smell into the space mountain line. it's sooooo good.

don't forget Dole Whip over in adventure land for a treat!

How about a meal at Goofy's Kitchen? Many posters here with children rate this a good experience and the food good. I hope you will post a trip report! We are parents of 6 year old triplets (b/b/g) who will celebrate their 7th birthday at DL. It's a surprise, they think they are going to their aunt's home!
Have a great time.:cool1:

i love goofys dinner and minnies at plaza in. those are my two favs.

We enjoy BB ~ we always get a PS for 11:30 and request a water side table. We enjoyed our breakfast with Minnie & Friends in April, in Dec. we plan to have a breakfast @ Chip n Dales Critter breakfast.
