Hello Everyone... DW and I finally joined DVC (SSR) in March and I was hoping to take advantage of the resort's close proximity to the LBV golf course on our first trip home (Late 2006) as well as all future trips. Now, since my wife doesn't play does anyone know if they'd allow her and my son, who will be almost 3 yrs old, to come along with me to watch or do you have to be paired up with other golfers? I don't mind being paired up, but to be honest, I'd rather spend the 4 hours or so with my wife and kids, kindof showing them the game as I play.

Okay, I asked my resident WDW golf expert, my DH, and his answer was,
anyone under the age of 10 has to be accompanied by an adult. So you should be okay with your wife and child riding. I have ridden with my DH several times. You can always call WDW-GOLF and ask for the lastest ruling about that. They will pair you up with others to play. I don't think you can get a tee time for a single player. Might be possible at "off" season and very late in day. Again you'll just have to ask.

Just want to mention that it may not be a whole lot of fun for the three year old. And it may not be fun for your playing partners (this is NOT a judgment of your three year old, but some folks are not as tolerate of young children as others.) So you might come up with a compromise, only play nine holes, or your wife and child could go back for a swim after nine holes, etc.

If I remember correctly, you can walk to the club house from SSR property.

And congrats on the purchase!! Hope you and your family have many great Disney days!
