We're going for the first time to Universal & staying at Royal Pacific with my DH & two DDs (ages 10 & 8). I purchased the package through AAA and also got the meal plan BUT now I'm having 2nd thoughts about the meal plan.

PLEASE let me know whether it's worth it :goodvibes

We'll be there in June 26th - 28th after spending the beginning of the week at WDW with a meal plan.

Thanks

I've never done the meal plan but personally I don't think it's worth it. From what I understand the places you can choose to eat from aren't the best in the park, and it's all counterservice type food (burgers, pizza, pasta etc) and how often are you going to eat that type of food in a day. I know I would only eat it for lunch, then I don't think i'd be getting my moneys worth.

I am gonna look into that myself actually I am going 2 days this week and not sure its worth it. My nephew is a picky eater and so am I so the pizza and burger possibly wouldnt bother us. I heard someone talking when we were there they got one meal deal and shared it since neither of us eat much it could be a possibility.

I think it would depend on whether you care to eat at one of the nicer citywalk restaurants or just tour the parks and do as many rides as you want and get quick bites to eat at the CS. I dont know if its too late to change that deal or not for you but if its set in stone I wouldnt feel too bad about it if I were you. Considering the price of food in the parks it would be a good deal if you plan on eatting there a good bit. I will post again after I have read about what and where you can eat.

Looking at some of the prices on Allears dot net I do not see how meal deal would rly be worth it unless you can get 3 meals out of your stay. Are you allowed to share? The food on their menus is about $6-$8 and eatting that twice is under what the meal deal costs. My understanding the meal deal also does not come with a drink so doesnt save you $3 or whatev they charge for soda either. Maybe someone else knows more who has done it but unless you can share or you eat 3 meals in the park between 11 to 6:30 ish I cant see it worth it.

No your not allowed to share and they look down on that and I have never seen the sense in getting this deal cause there are 4 in my family and while me and DW and oldest DS are not that picky in fact oldest DS only orders burgers and very seldom trys anything new but youngest DS is very picky and doesn't like eating just burgers or pizza all the time.
Now if they had hotwings then the kid couldn't get enough:lmao: :lmao:

I bought it for my trip as well as the sipper cups in 2 wks I will have 5 in my party. With three kids and DF who love burgers, pizza, pasta, chicken and fries I think it would be cheaper for me. You can go thru the line and get one entree or platter and keep going back as many times and you like and so I plan on having lunch and dinner in the parks for the 3 days we will be there. We have free breakfast at our hotel so I only budgeted money for meals to florida and back.
