Newbie from Hawaii with questions

Hi! First of all I wanted to say that I've learned so much from reading (and lurking) the posts on DIS. This is such a valuable source of information!!

I made reservations today for our Disneymoon in July 2009 and am totally excited!! I know I still have time to figure out the details, but this is DFi & my first trips to WDW and I want it to be perfect. I do have a couple of questions that I hope someone out there can answer for me...

We are doing a split stay (4 nights @ POFQ and 2 nights @ CR) and I would've sworn that I read somewhere on these boards that Bell services will transfer my luggage for me from one hotel to another. However, when I asked the reservations agent about this, she said that the concierge will only assist with transportation. This didn't quite make sense. Can anyone clarify this for me?

Also, I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but has anyone done the Honeymoon registry and used funds on the gift card to pay for their room or package before they arrived @ WDW? I guess what I'm basically asking is - does WDW accept their gift card as a form of payment?

I have used bell services to transfer lugguage for a split stay. However, I have never used concierge, so I don't know their policies. Good Luck!!

For baggage transfer just call bell services and let them know you need your bags to go to the CR. They will pick them up and will get them to your next resort for you. Just don't expect them to be there yet if you are going straight to the CR to check in. Bell service at the CR will bring them to your room for you just call when you are in your room.

in the morning, when you are heading out to the parks, drop bags at bell hop... send them off to CR... at the end of the day, head to CR check in, bell service will send the bags up to your room.

help with transportation? no clue what that means... are they thinking they will get you a cab? either way, doesn't matter.... drop bags in morning, bags will be there that night.
