Newbie DVC Question

We are trying to plan a surprise trip for our boys for November/December 2009, and would really like to rent points to stay at OKW in a one-bedroom studio. We stayed in one of the Grand villa rooms last July, and now we are spoiled.

When would be a good time to start looking for rentable (is that even a word ) points? I know we are going to pay between $10-13 per point, right? I don't completely understand the whole points system, but I think I can figure it out.

You need to do that as soon as humanly possible!!

I agree with ChellyMouse and now would be a good time to start looking. A one bedroom at OKW for November is going to run about 172 points total for a full week. If you go the first couple weeks of December the points for a full week in a one bedroom will run about 160 points.

basically, you need to find an OKW owner who will rent you the points who can make the reservation 11 months in advance of your travel.

i don't know if you need to start right now, but if you wait till january 2009 for example, it may be too late...
