NEWBIE! Disney Wonder 12/26, and What is Flounders??

HI!
We are going on our first Disney Cruise (have been on a few others) on Dec 26th, and then to Disney World for New Year's Eve...

Just a couple of questions from a newbie to this board, thanks in advance!

*WHAT is Flounders? We are contemplating if we should bring our son, who will have just turned 1. (We also have a 5 year old..) I have seen Flounders mentioned in reference to little children, so could someone please explain...

*How are the meal choices for kids (a 5 year old picky little girl who could live on yogurt, bananas, and grilled cheeses ?

I think i will browse some more to try and answer my own questions, as i just found this board!

Flounders is the nursery available limited times at $6 per hour -- by reservation only. Must reserve shortly after boarding the ship.

Also be aware of the new rule that if a child is not potty trained, they may not use any of the pools, mickey pool included. I just want you to be aware in case you do decide to bring your son.
