For my upcoming trip in Sept (yay!), I'm new to the Dining Plan and have some questions. I checked the main thread and haven't been able to figure these out. I apologize if they've been asked a million times!

How does paying work? I understand that all the credits for our group are tied to all our KTTK cards - will we just have to show one card when we eat (my guess) or do we have to show every card?

Is there a way to check from the room TVs how many credits you have used / have left? I'm concerned my brother and his family, who don't always understand the intricacies of things, may use more credits than they should.

Also, can we decide to sit down at a table service restaurant and have two adults share one entree using only one TS credit at that point? Does Disney care of you do that?

Are snacks considered snacks or are kids snacks somehow considered less value or do they get less credit than adults do?

Thanks!

You don't have to keep up with remaining credits. It says on your receipt how many you've used and how many remain. See below..

As you can see on the TS ticket from LeCellier on the left, all 5 of us ate using one KTTW and the CS ticket on the right from Flame Tree BBQ was just one person. We could have all used one card at Flame Tree but we were in separate lines.

And no there is no way to check your credits except by receipt or by hotel staff.

You may want to REALLY go over with the family members who may "misunderstand" what they get.
Or they could use more than "their" own credits.

You're only all "tied" to the same KTTW if you are all in the same room. Even if the reservations are linked to show you're "traveling with", each room will have it's own credits only on that room's cards. We travel with grown children frequently, and even though our reservation is linked to theirs...and we pay all the bills with our credit card...the adult kid's credits are on their room card, not ours. Our cards will say "2 adults", the adult kid's card says "1 adult" so kid cannot use our credits and we can't use his.

So if you're in separate rooms, you should be able to keep each room's credits straight. Your room will have your family's and your brother's room would have his family's.

will the receipt differentiate the number of adult vs child credit left? thanks

It will list TS credits remaining by adult/child. CS credits are pooled.

Snacks are snacks, there is no difference between adult/child.

Also, two people on the same plan can split meals, with the exception being admission events (buffets, dinner shows, CRT, Akerhaus, and AYCE meals such as Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner) and, for some odd reason, Beaches and Cream.
