My family and I will be taking our first trip to WDW June 26 thru July 3 2005. There is 4 of us, DH,DS(13), DS(3), and myself. :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy:
We are staying at the ASMovie resort. We are on DYW package, and have park hopper tickets.
Can you tell me how my plans sound and if there is anything you would change or add to make this the most "MAGICAL" experinece it can be. I really appreciate all your input.

I have so much enjoyed these boards and the magical people I have met so far. I've learned so much, only hope to learn and grow more each time I am here.

Thank you in advance, And I'm sorry it's such a long thread.

First of all, forgiveness from all please,
I posted this same thread on several different forms so I could be sure to get the most advise possible. Needing all that I can get.

Correct me if I'm wrong, please. :confused3

I understood we are going at one of the busiest times of year. And that also, staying at ASMovie resort, this was last resort to be picked up on Value resorts bus line.
And, because we are staying on property, parking was free where ever in "world" we were going.
So with all that in mind, I thought it would be more convient and time saving to drive ourselves around then it would be to take the buses. With the exception on MK. I've read this park is a booger if you drive yourself.

So am I wrong?? I have no idea, being our first time and all. :confused3 :confused3

Gosh, you people are so wonderful!!!

Ok, it's wishes we can see from dinner, got it!!
Also, I don't have PS's everyday, Friday is open.

I've read and read and read, and everything I've read always say to start early, before crowds and hot weather, break, then enjoy cooler evenings. Is this not the way to do it? :confused3 :confused3
On the evenings that I plan on staying later in the parks, I've tried to make the next mornings not a early one.

And belive me, MK is our favorite I'm sure, and we plan to take full advantage of our first morning and also EMH on wednesday night.

Thanks again, soooooooo very much.
I just love these boards!!!

Looks good.

Looks like you've avoided the most crowded parks (esp. MK on Saturdays and Mondays) on their crowded days.

I've read and read and read, and everything I've read always say to start early, before crowds and hot weather, break, then enjoy cooler evenings. Is this not the way to do it? :confused3 :confused3

That IS the way to do it. You got it right.

On the evenings that I plan on staying later in the parks, I've tried to make the next mornings not a early one.

That's a good practice. Otherwise you'll be tired and cranky.

I see you have a 3 yo DS. Speaking from experience (took our DD at ages 9mos, 3yo and 4yo), he will most probably tire or not want to do some things. He could be overwhelmed at first (try to see a sea of people through his eyes...it's mostly legs and butts! Not pretty! ;)

When that happens, don't sweat it...adapt. Accomodate him whenever you can. Also, bring a stroller if possible (and watch for other people's ankles!...you'll face crowded parks!). You can rent at the parks, but if you bring one with you you'll be thankful when you're both tired!

As for your DS(13), as much as you or him feel comfortable, let him go on rides or explore areas by himself while you're nearby, and involve him in the day-to-day choices. He'll enjoy it more.

The most important thing to remember while you're there: Relax! You're at WDW! Take the time to enjoy it and the magic will come to you.

Have fun!
