I want to take a vacation with my in-laws.

Is there any guideline against DVC memeber book more than one Studio at a time?

Not at all. They will ask the names of the occupants in the room so even though you will be making the ressies and using your points for the 2 rooms they will have different names showing for the guests in the room.
We have booked 2 rooms at the same time before with no problems.

You should be able to book as many units as you have points available. I think the only main restriction is there has to be at least 1 adult assigned to each unit.

When you call to make the ressie, just make sure you have the full name of each person staying in the villa and their address. If there will be kids, you'll need ages as well.

My first DVC reservation was for a 1BR at BWV for my family and a studio at SSR for my Dad & Stepmom. No problems booking it at all :goodvibes

Sure. If it were my in-laws, though, I'd book one studio at VWL for me, and another at SSR for them. And maybe forget to tell them where I'm staying.

Is it correct, that there is no guarantee that the rooms will be close together?

that is correct.

I just booked two studios for Dec. One for us, one for inlaws.

This is their third trip to WDW with us, but the two previous trips they've driven their motorhome from CA and stayed at FW.

This is the first time they'll be staying at a "resort".

Since we have 4 kids, this will be the first time we're staying in a studio!

If you have the points, you may want to opt for a 2 bedroom lock-off. It'll likely cost about 25% more points, but you'll have nicer accommodations for yourself and gain the benefit of a full kitchen and much more room.

After vacationing with my mother and mother-in-law on the same trip, I can assure you their is significant value in having a jacuzzi tub!

There is no guarantee, but if you make that a request, it will be noted on both reservations and the DVC resorts will place a priority on multiple room requests. In most cases you will be located "close" - maybe in the same building (at some resorts), maybe on the same floor, maybe right above or below.

Good luck! :)

Yes we were there just a few weeks a go and requested 2 studios near each other at AKV. They could not accomadate us and we were on opposite sides. It really was fine since we were all adults so we were not to bothered but my suggestion is to call a week or so before and just make sure there is a note for a request on the ressie.

For June we have 3 value studios booked at AKV (us, in-laws amd sil) so as long as you have the points and it is available you can book what you wish.
