Newbie - Cafe Mickey vs BBWWS and Toy Story questions

Hi everyone, I've been lurking to gather info and now my head is swimming so thought I'd sign up so I can join in

We (myself, husband and son) are going to DLP for the first time 4-7 December so mid-week and no school holidays so hopefully less crowds! It's my son's birthday the day we arrive, he will be 4. He is not Disney mad exactly but I know he will still love seeing characters, going on rides etc. SO: as Buffalo Bill's show is only on on the Tuesday we arrive, am I mad to miss it in favour of having his birthday meal at Cafe Mickey with cake? I don't want to do both and he doesn't do sitting down so I think BB could be a bad idea as it goes on a while.

My Toy Story question: he is absolutely crazy about these films and in particular seems to have a little crush on Jessie! He wants to dress up as her on the trip what is the best chance we have of meeting her and Woody et al? He will be devastated if we don't see her at all so I can just see myself hunting her down so he can give her a hug!

We met Woody and Jessie in Studios next to Stich live.

can't tell you about BBWWS and Mickey's cafe, because we have same doubts. But we've done Mickey's cafe before and character interaction was great.

if he doesn't like sitting down for a long time then i would give buffalo bills a miss. we went once and enjoyed the show but the food wasn't really for us. i think he would have more enjoyment out of having his cake at cafe mickey.

if the stars and cars characters are out in the studios it will be either at around 10.45 or 11.45. we only saw them out once during our trip on the sunday.

he can see them in the parade in the main park and on the stars and cars parade in the studios. buzz does a scheduled meet and greet in the studios also.

I'd chose Cafe Mickey.

Partly because I don't like the food at BBWWS but mostly because the character interaction is fantastic.

It's also great to have a birthday cake there and have the characters sing happy birthday to your son. We were lucky as Mickey was out when our cake came so he danced with my son to the happy birthday song.

Thank you for the replies, you've convinced me about cafe mickey, I just can't see him wanting to sit down for BB and it's an expensive risk to take!

Good to know about stars and cars and the studios also. Actually can't wait now!
