I just received my membership card can I book vaca for two weeks from now? And if they don't have any villas can am I able to book a regular hotel room? I know it's soon but I wanted to spend my bday week in the happiest place on earth ;).
 
You need to log in to your online account and check for availability. You can also book online if you find a room.

If there are no DVC rooms available, you can't book a 'regular' room with DVC. You'll have to pay cash for it (they're two separate things). Like Disneynutz said, your best bet is to log in online and see what's available.. good luck
 
If you bought resale, you won't have the option of booking Disney hotels with your points. There are sometimes DVC rooms available for a 25% member discount,


If you bought direct, sometimes they are able to get you DVC rooms at places in active sales, like AKV, when not available on the website for new buyers.
