Newbie And Needing Some Help Plz...

Hello... Been lurking around for the last couple of days and finally was able to managed to register. (Been really busy day dreaming about our trip to DLP this March hehe)...

Was wonderin if anybody could help me as this is our first time going to DLP...
and Ive got a few questions in mind..

1. From the terminal 2 of CDG airport how do we go to the Terminal of TGV as I have read it only takes 10 mins to go to the Chessy Station or is it more convenient to travel using the VEA Shuttle coz we are arriving CDG at 18:30 with a 18 month old toddler.

2. Has anybody used the Cityrama tour that Disney offers? Did you just spend your time in the coach or does it include going down the coach for some photo taking? We're planning to take a day tour to Paris but Ive got no clue how to get there..

3. From reading a few post, Is it easy to get to the outside village to get some supplies just incase we need something for our toddler like baby food, nappies, etc?

Thats all I can think of for now, But surely a few questions will pop out later on and I must say this forum has a wealth of infos... thanks!

If you are actually arriving at Terminal 2 then the TGV is a reasonable option for you. Here is a map of T2 ABCD - the station is on the right hand side. Depending on which part of this (very large!) terminal you arrive in, you can either walk to the station or use the No 3 airport shuttle which just travels round and round T2.

I've just had a look at the TGV timetable and trains leave at 19.07 19.20 and 19.30, then the next one is 20.38

The VEA is slower, but it might be easier with an 18 month old, as it is a door to door service.

3. From reading a few post, Is it easy to get to the outside village to get some supplies just incase we need something for our toddler like baby food, nappies, etc?

If you travel one stop on the RER you arrive at Val d'Europe - a huge shopping centre with an excellent Auchan supermarket. You will find everything you need there.

I'm a newbie on these boards too it's a great site eh?
Well I can't help much as I have only been to DLP twice .... March o6 and Jan 07 but this is how we did things:
From terminal 2 we got the Vea shuttle bus which takes about 45 mins (ours was included in the price)
We didn't go on the tour but it sounds good.
The only place we could get supplies was a garage next to the Santa Fe hotel (where we stayed) you probably could get out of the village but it's hard to escape from the disney bubble!!! Nappies I remember being VERY expensive at the garage 30 euros for a normal pack!!!!! but got them cheaper in the hotel.
What i would say though is bring LOADS of warm clothes because on both occasions we near foze to death!!! But there was hardly any waiting time and no waiting time in Jan at all for the rides. We are going back again for 6 days next Jan........ We are taking ski suits though!!

I believe the Cityrama tour gives you two stops, one at the Eiffel Tower and the other at Notre Dame plus a river cruise.

I'm wondering if it might be a bit intense for an 18 month old. It's really easy to get the RER train in yourself, it only takes about 35 minutes and you can then set your own pace.

YOU'RE ALL A FRIENDLY BUNCH AND BEEN VERY HELPFUL!

I've decided to take everything that we might need such as nappies, milk and baby food and as for the snacks I might just bring a couple or buy from Manchester Airport as there are a lot of shops in there (just dont know if its economical or not)

Also, I have managed to make an itinerary and hopefully all will work out for the best, if not, we promised ourselves that there is nothing that can spoil us (me and dh) being little kids again with our little darling daughter Arabella.

Am just a bit skeptical if our Disney Itinerary would be a bit too much for Arabella but then again, she's fortunate enough to be a traveller since she was 2 months old and she's been to more places than I have like Disneyland HongKong, Philippines, Dubai, Singapore, etc so fingers crossed that an hour and a half travel from home and a whole lot of activity wouldnt cause too much trouble OR should I just take it easy? We'll see and I shall tell you all about it.

Again, my sincerest thank you and I shall be back to post pictures and reports.

Paris is a very easy city to walk around plus it has the Metro. I would just get a train into Paris & do your own thing for the day. Wouldn't spend all day on a coach, espcially with a little one. DH's idea of hell!

You know your DD better than anyone so I'm sure she will give you the warning signs if you need to be flexible.
With the attitude that you have to be little kids with your DD means you'll not go wrong
