Newbie Advice (Transportation)

We are going for two-night stay in July. We have booked our hotel through DVC. I was hoping to get information/opinons/advice on transportation.

We will be flying into Charles de Gaulle. I think we will just take a taxi to the hotel. Are taxis readily available at the airport? Any tips? Our plan is to do the parks this day.

We plan to go into Paris on the second day for a tour. Is it best to take a train or taxi?

Lastly, we will be boarding a train at the Paris Lyon station to Barcelona on the day we leave. Should we again take a taxi or the RER? The train for Barcelona leaves at 7:15, so how much time should I allow for us to get to the station?

Thanks for your help!

There's a RER (train) going straight from Charles de Gaulle to Disneyland Paris.
You literally get off the train right in front of the Disneyland Hotel (entrance to the park).
It's only about 5-7€ per person.
Going with the taxi is incredibly expensive (between 100€ and 150€).
I would definitely recommend going with the RER (get off at Marne la Vallee/Chessy).
It's much cheaper and faster.

For Paris the same thing, just take the RER.
With a taxi it's really expensive while the RER is really cheap and easy.

Isn't the RER indirect from CDG to DLP? I thought it was the TGV which was the direct train route between CDG and DLP?

OP if you want a taxi transfer instead of taking the train from the airport to your DLP hotel, pre-book one with the likes of rstransports, ezyshuttle.com, interprestige, or tioshuttle. They are much cheaper than a metered taxi, and more convenient compared to the coach or train transfers, as its a door-to-door service.

I saw that there is a train, TGV I think. However, it seems to run only every 30-45 minutes and I was afraid we may lose a lot of time waiting on that.

I appreciate the names of the other transport options. Thanks!!

Yes you are right the TGV is the train that goes direct from the airport and stops at Disney (Marne la Vallee). It is very quick however you will have to get yourself and luggage to the station at the airport and then perhaps wait for the train. It also isn't as cheap as what DLRP Wonders suggested.

The RER which you can get from the airport to Disney is a cheap option and runs every few minutes however you will have to go into Central Paris and out again and change lines so isn't as easy. This will also take about and hour and half to do this.

As Elaine said the easiest option is to get a private shuttle which will pick you up at your arrival gate and take you direct to your hotel and help with luggage.

To get to Gare de Lyon for your other train you can get the RER from Disney (the station is next to the bus stops ). Gare de Lyon is one of the stops on route. It will cost approx 7E per person and takes about 30-40 mins
