I hope I can explain this well! We're planning a trip for Jan 2012, which means 180 days prior to that date will be sometime in July. If our trip is from January 1-5, can I make ADRs for the whole trip on the FIRST day I can make reservations, or do I have to wait 180 days prior to EACH day of the trip? Does that make sense?

Also, per an email from a Disney Destinations employee, the packages for 2012 won't come out until mid-August. Can I make ADRs in July if I don't even have an "official" Disney reservation yet?

Hello and welcome!!

If you are staying onsite and have your vacation booked you can make your adrs on day 180 for up to 10 days into your vacation. You will need to sign in to the website and put in your reservation number.

Now that said, if you don't have your vacation booked at 180 days then you have to go in each "180" day and do that day's ressies.

Make sense?

Welcome again!! And have a great trip!!

In order to do the 180-plus-10 (make all your ADR's on the first eligible day) you will need your reservation number for your trip.

You should ask the travel agent if they can just give you the number, even though you won't receive your actual package until later. They must be used to this since a lot of folks know about making ADR's 180 days in advance.
