Hi all!
We have just come into the idea of going DisneyLand Paris for New Years as having never had the chance to go before.
Having searched some sites i found this forum and everyone seems to be Very friendly and Helpfull!!!
I really apoligise as i guess this has been covered a million times,i have searched the forums but got confused,As a newbee id really appreciate any advise.
We've found a coach trip/hotel with pick up from Essex/kent for 4 nights at £420 for the 2 of us.Basic but best price i could find!Entrance to the Park New Years Eve and Paris New Years day!
I appreciate that we are not gonna get to ride too much because of que's but the parades and fireworks will do it for me..
Is just a request for any tips or must do's in the short time we will have there?
I appreciate new boy questions like this will proberly be annoying to most in the community, but id really be greatfull for any suggestions..
Many Many Thanks in advance Tel

Hi & welcome Tel

You'll probably get more answers if you post the same question on the DLP forum.

Get a guide book I'd recommend Brits guide to DLP

Wrap up warm it will be cold!

Use fast pass

Enjoy DLP is brill

Have you looked at the DLP forum, maybe you'll get some ideas on there. I'm no expert having only been twice but will offer you this info. Make use of the fastpass rides and even if the park is packed you should still get some rides. Stake out a spot for the parade, we favour the balcony on the railroad looking right down Main Street USA and the floats pass right in front of you (great for taking photos from above) better views than being at ground level. If you want to see the characters without queueing for ages nip in the Disneyland hotel, and you will usually find one or two milling around the entrance to the restaurant.

Hi
Thanks so much for replying so fast!!! To be honest i was'nt expecting any replies as i guessed questions from newbee's that youve proberly seen a million times would get annoying!
I really appreciate it..I'll try the DLP forum as yous advised, but when i had a quick read earlier i found this site to be more friendly..Will definately try though!!
I'm guessing its going to be packed solid there so although we'll try to get on some rides,We know a second trip will be ideal in the near future...So we've kind of settled on the fact that it will still be a great day just to walk round and see the sites and parades or Fireworks!

I'll move this over to our DisneyLand Paris forum for you :)

Have a great trip! DLP is a magical place to visit. I love it there :cloud9:

Hello Tel and :welcome: .

I have booked a DLPR trip over Christmas and joined this forum a few weeks ago to make sure I get the most from my trip too. :thumbsup2

I suppose the biggest thing I have learned is to plan your day around the parades/fireworks and meal times. Make sure you have reservations for any restaurants that take advance bookings and be at the park ready for rope drop. Make full use of the fast Pass tickets and dont miss the indoor shows - they are brill.

I have even got the extreme and planned the rides we dont want to miss so there is a structure to our days and not much wasted time on site.

You will find lots of great links and reviews of both parks and restaurants in the sticky threads at the top of the DLPR home page. Take your time and go through them all for the best ideas of what you want to do.

Dont be embarassed to ask any questions as the posters here are a REALLY friendly and helpfull bunch.

Hi Tel and welcome to DLP DIS board :wave2:

Hi Tel and welcome to the DLP board. We're definitely as friendly here, as they are on the Trip planning board!!! ;) And please ask as many questions as you like about DLP - we love to answer them!! :goodvibes

There has been some great advice already, especially about planning which rides you really want to try, and making a reservation at a restaurant, if you want to do that.

If it's really busy, nice break in the day can be to go and visit one or two of the onsite hotels. The Sequoia Lodge bar is particularly inviting during the cold weather! ;)

Oh, most definitely! ::yes::

Welcome to the DIS, Tel! :welcome: Any more questions, just ask away! :goodvibes

Hiya, welcome! :woohoo: Glad you found your way to us. Even staying a short while at the parks you will find plenty to do and see. Make sure you see the castle and the occupant beneath - well worth a look/. pirate: pirate:

We're also going on a New Years coach trip, with Leger, and costing the best part of £1000 for 4 nights, how did you ever manage to get it so cheap!!

Anyway the time is really ample, as we have dont it before, so just try to plan what you're doing and have a great time :)
