It has been a while since we have flown out of Newark. Does anyone have any suggestions for good places off-site of the airport to park? We prefer self-parking but would consider valet.

Thanks!

One other thing to consider...

When I parked at EWR, it was always a hassle. Off-site or on "economy" on-site, it always took longer than I'd planned and I ended up stressing about my flight. If I priced out the cost of "better" lots, it started to get really expensive. Turns out I could get a town car for about the same cost as parking. So for the same money, I got a nice, stress free ride to the airport, and then had some guy waiting for me with his little sign waiting to pick me up.

Hopefully somebody else can point you to a good lot. But if possible, check out what a car service will run you.

I always use Avistar parking when flying out of EWR. Fast service, good rates and E-Ticket checkins (Continental only) at the lot.

We used Vista once and never will again as we waited more than 30 minutes for the pick up when we returned. Never waited more than 10 minutes with Avistar.

and used Avistar and said it was very good. Quick and easy.

We're flying out of Newark next month for a surprise trip for DS#1's birthday and we'll use them as well. For a short weekend, parking is always cheaper than using a car service for us (close to $100 each way). You can find coupons in the clipper magazines or use a AAA discount. Also check out their website for discounts.

We use Avistar at JFK and LGA and they are very good, never had a problem. Make sure you make a resveration in advance they book up quickly. Friends tried to book 12/10 for 12/22 at LGA and they were all filled up.

I am staying at the best western with their park and fly option and they will you park there for up to 10 days-- it was $138 for the night and the 10 days of parking. their shuttle will take you and pick you up when you return. This great because i have a 7am flight and leave in the hudson valley of NY.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. :flower:

Unfortunately, a car service would cost us a lot more then driving & parking ourselves, so that option will not work for us.

Avistar is only valet parking & I am a little leary about leaving them my keys, but it is reassuring to hear good reviews on them, so we will consider parking there.

Has anyone used Mr. B's Park & Lock? They are a self-park lot.

Thanks again for your help!
