Hi Everyone

Ive been away rom the board for a few months as home life has been extremely hectic. We are off to WDW next month with the family so Im getting back into checking out all your fantastic piccies for inspiration.

DH and I just came back from NYC (a 40th Birthday Treat for me!) and here are some photos.

All taken with Canon 30D and the majority with my Canon 17-85IS. Im still new to this DSLR lark, so please excuse any glaring errors!

Hope you like them. Most with minimal PP (levels, curves, crop, sharpen) apart from the few deliberatly manipulated as stated).

Skyline at Night (I know this is a very feeble attempt, but it was taken on a moving bus, and I was VERY annoyed it didnt stop so we could take proper pics - I had my tripod ready it was our last night so no chance to go back and reshoot). Serious PP to get even anything remotely worth posting!

You pics are beautiful. I live so close to boston, it makes me want to take a trip in very soon. Your night skyline looks really good to me, but that must have been very aggravating for the bus not to stop.

I really enjoyed looking at your pictures. The last night I was in NYC, I was 17 and on a school trip. I left my camera on the plane on the way home . I've always wanted to go back. You did a good job on the night skyline.

nice shots...i can't find it but the photo i like best i ever took in NYC was of 2 old gents sharing a beverage in a brown paper bag, i'm sure it was aquafina or something similar

Nice pics! I went in August with the same camera and same lens! I was extremely disappointed with my pics overall though. It was shortly after I got the camera, so I wasn't used to it. Still learning actually. The only pic I see that is missing from the pics that you posted is one like this:
