Hi all,

What do wear to a New York Broadway Show? Do they have a dress code to get in. I am going to a Broadway Show this summer and I need know if need to bring dress clothes for the trip. I going on bus trip with my sons Boys scounts troop. Most of my clothes is be vacation wear.

I teach at school that we wear uniforms to work. I do not have any dress clothes at all. I wondering can get by with khakis and polo shirt. That is dressy thing I have. I don't have church clothes at all.

I may have couple pants suits that is made out cotton. Would that be okay to wear to Broadway show.

Early that do touring Statue Liberty and Ellis Island and other stuff. I will be wearing shorts.

What is the weather like New York City June 3rdweek. Is warm enough for shorts. I live in the South and about March is here I shorts or Capri by then.

Thanks

B/way shows are pretty casual these days. A nice pair of jeans, shirt or sweater are fine. I probably wouldn't wear shorts. Capries, or a "skort" of some sort would be fine. The theaters tend to get chilly in the summer, so you may want a sweater.

If you go at night, people are dressed slightly better. Still, a pair of kaki's is fine.

You can wear anything you like- I have seen dresses and I have seen shorts and everything in between at the theater. I usually just wear jeans since when we go in for an evening show we usually go in early and spent the day doing things and going to central park and I am more comfortable in jeans.
As far as the weather-2 years ago in June we had days that were in the high 90's...last year it rained 90 percent of the days in June and it was cool...so really no teling the weather!

No dress code on Broadway. People wear anything and I mean anything.

That is good to know. I would hate t buy clothes that I only wear one time. Heat does not bother me. I live in the south. As soon as winter ends we turn 90 degrees
