I was just wondering, after the celebration of 2009 thread, what you would all like to achieve in 2010..
i ll start-
1. stop smoking. i dont even enjoy it much anymore, have booked an appointment with the nurse for the 19th jan, hopefully ill get over the mental need as well as the physical need this time.
2. to lose the last 3 stone to get to a healthy BMI. have started back on the CD today.
3. to spend more time with my family....:goodvibes
what about you...?

I lose my temper far too easily so I would like to be able to calm down but don't think that's going to be easy with a stroppy 16 year old and 13 year old with learning difficulties. I'm tired of being a nag to them but if I don't their school work doesn't get done. I may last out till 2nd January, good luck with yours.

Apart from that I don't drink much, don't smoke and live a completely blameless (boring) life:sad2:

Mine will be the usual.....
lose weight! still got loads to go but i will get there one day

Don't really have any really. Apart from GET A NEW JOB, grrrr. But I also said this last year and am STILL looking :( 2010 has GOT to be the year I get out of the job I'm in, I hate it beyond all belief.

what do you do?
good luck with the job hunting, its a hard time to find new jobs, i hope it works out for you:goodvibes

I must lose weight. I'm going to be 40 in 2010 and I am determined not to be fat and 40. I'm fed up of buying camouflage instead of clothes.

Mine is to start seriously chipping away at my debts which have grown far too high.

mine is to get back,on my diet & try to succeed,at it this year.
not to be impulsive & end up booking 4 holidays for 2011,as i really need to,visit my mum in australia,as she is getting old,so it may be too late,if i leave it any longer.
and finally, not to spend so much,on my grandaughter, but this one,is gonna be tough:)

Work in retail :( It's not a hard job or anything it's just......crap. Been in the same job for 4 years now, only did it through college/uni, finished uni and still can't get out :( I know there's so many people worse off than me though that don't have jobs at all!

dh was made redundant 2 weeks before xmas in 2007, so i understand what you say, there are people out there worse than us. he retrained and now loves his new job, in the long run what happened to him was great for us as a family (he went from being a chef and working v long, anti social hours inc xmas, to working in an sen school, which he loves, and we have him at home for school holidays:lovestruc)
i am a firm believer in fate, things will work out for you

I don't think I'm making any this year. I find it better to just plod along, try and continue to eat healthy and keep my fitness routine up, as I've been doing for the last 18 months, so no major changes for me.

Good Luck everyone though :goodvibes

I don't tend to make resolutions (well, I don't announce them anyway;) ).
My issue is self discipline and confidence, I lack both and need to change that and I think gaining one could help change the other. More discipline with my eating and gym routine could lead to more confidence :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Good luck everybody:thumbsup2

I just cant make them, I never ever stick to them as much as I want to, no willpower. The diet is always top of my list and I normally start the first Monday after new year, but will be starting when I come out of hospital end of next week, so Nat I will join you the week after for the dis dieters:thumbsup2
