Has any one on the board cruised on the Magic over New Year's? We did Celebrity two years ago and had a wonderful time. We did the Dawn Princess this year and was disappointed. How does Disney celebrate New Year's Eve? Is their a large deck party that is family friendly? Do the clubs have their own party?

We did go ahead and book the Dec. 28 - Jan. 4 Western Magic cruise. It is going to be part of our daughters Christmas present in '04. The past two years she was left with Grandma while we cruised. We are looking forward to surprising her.

Thanks, Kathy

We were on the Magic this New Year's Eve. It was great fun and Family-friendly. You didn't mention the age of your daughter, but I am confident that you can find something to your liking. We have two teenagers - there were two invitations delivered to our stateroom inviting them to the teen-only party at The Stack. They chose to be with us - which was great!! We all dressed in our formal attire and enjoyed the party in the Grand Atrium. We have a great family potrait (my son & I in tux, Mom & daughter in evening gowns- what an opportunity that was). There were parties from bow to stern, in the adult-only club, on Deck 10, in the atrium, in the teen club, and I am sure in the children's clubs as well. Like I said, I'm sure you can find something you will enjoy.

We were on the Magic for the Millenium Celebration. New Year's Eve the Magic and the Wonder were anchored off Castaway Cay. They shot fireworks off the barge. It was fabulous! Everyone was on deck - live music, a dance floor over the pool, etc. Best party I've ever been to....

I haven't been over New Year's before, but we're booked on the same cruise! There is a thread started on the other board and a few responses so far.

We'll be cruising with DS (7), DD (5) and our friends with a DD (7), DS (4) - is your daughter in these age ranges?

All I know is we're thrilled to be spending NYEve w/the stingrays at Grand Cayman!

We are still waiting for the prices for Dec 2005 NYE cruise. I hope they come out soon because we really want to do this.
