New Years Fantasy Ballyhoo Bash 2012-2013

Hi everyone!

I'm a little concerned about the weather. We got super lucky last week with beautiful warm weather but I'm afraid that it will be too cold for us cold weather wimps. I know we're going south but does anyone know what the average CC temps are at that time of year? I'm not sure I want to sacrifice a CC day to cold weather.

I think CC will be the only issue for us Florida wimps. Our guide last week in St. Thomas said their coldest temp is high 70's and I bet San Juan is similar. From what I've seen of the Bahamas, it runs similar to our area but maybe a little warmer so it'd still be a break from the "cold" for us.

From our experience with the Eastern itinerary the only concern araund cold is in the water while at Castaway Cay, and only for the first minutes. Anything south will be nice and warm and hopeing for no rain. :yay:

If you get a sun burn on previous days of the cruise your skin will be much more sencitive to the cold too. :teacher:

:cheer2: Welcome Mean Queen and Cathy_s :cheer2:

Where is everyone!? :O
Hopefully towards the cruise date there will be alot more activity :)

We are here :goodvibes

And today is the 1 Year 1 Montha To Cruise Day Dance

I bet more people will book once school schedules come out for next year. I have a friend who is considering joining us, but if the prices keep going up, that may stop her.

I'm sure your friend know's about the Dummy booking. It's the best option of fixing prices and then deciding if you can make it.

I'm sorry to say that my sister has declined my invitation for this cruise, so they won't be comming. :sad2: I guess that when kids get of certain age parents have to follow them !

She does, she used to always have a cruise booked to either take or move but she had some big changes in her life and had to put cruising on hold. It killed her when we went on the last Disney cruise without her.

Hey everyone! Disappeared for a bit (college tends to take a lot out of you)...cannot wait for the cruiseee! Can't believe I'll be 21 on it!:woohoo: (yikes!) Feels like yesterday I was ten or twelve and on our first cruise.

Hope everyone is having a great time preparing for the holidays! :santa:

Hi DClceuzer, defenatly into the Christmas mood. :santa:

It's only the best time of the year and my birth month too. :cool1:

Has anyone figured out the vacation plan for this cruise ?

We are planning to arrive at Orlando around the 26th and staying one more week after the cruise to enjoy some of the parks, spetially thouse that we never been to like Bush Gardens in Tampa and also planning of going to Cape Canaveral to the NASA facilities (wishing for a rocket to take off for those days). And we still haven't seen The Harry Potter Park.

Also we usually stay at Polynessian to take trasnsport to the ship but this time might go to another resort, I really want to go to the new Contemporary Tower's Resort but have to see "How Much" it's going to take. :rolleyes1

Sounds like a good plan MRaven. I absolutely love Bay Lake Tower (the DVC at the Contemporary.) It is amazing to just sit in your room and watch the fireworks over the castle. But we are using most of our DVC points to go on the Alaskan cruise in June, so we won't have any left to stay before the New Year's cruise. We will probably just drive up to the port the morning of the cruise like we usually do.

Busch Gardens is fun, especially if you like roller coasters. We haven't been to the Harry Potter park yet either. We've been waiting for the crowds to die down a bit.

You can call me Manny. Or MR. A from Ven or 'M RAven :lmao:

That view that you describe is exactly why I want to stay there. Although, no DVC here so it might turn out to be kind of expensive. We'll see once I start to book hotels some time around June.

I read somewhere that car parking schedules at Cape Canaveral had some changes in rates and in the number of car spaces available so check that out before your Alaska cruise.

Unless there's an Eastern Med Cruise available by the time we do the cruise our next cruise will be the Alaska itinerary. :woohoo:

They added a few "premium" spaces for a higher cost at Port Canaveral. The Alaska cruise will take off from Seattle so we will fly there and take a taxi to the port. I'm also hoping for a Mediterranean cruise in 2013.

:rotfl2: I ment to say for you to find out before our cruise while on your Alaska cruise. I left out a whole sentence. Sorry about that. :rotfl2:

Alright everyone, I know it's still about a year away....but it's never too early to start planning :) .......I have been thinking about the formal night outfit, and I'm not sure if I want to buy a new dress that is more simple/straight or if I want to pull out my Belle gown from senior prom...

I'm the one in the yellow Belle dress :) (Sorry for the obstructed view with the flowers) Not sure if it would be too much? too fancy???
Opinions and Suggestions are appreciated :wizard:
(My parents say no, but that's because they don't want to have to buy another dress! :thumbsup2)

One thing for sure You look very nice, if I may say so.

So I asked my wife (she is a fashion designer) and this is what she said:

"First of all wear what makes you feel confortable, and fancy for a NYE Party, spetially dancing 'till late hours, shoes included.

As for the dress it's very beautifull, it's where you are that might might impact some people diferently. Remeber you are in a Disney Cruise, so a Bell dress might be missinterpreted as a Bell Costume. But as long as you are OK with it then you wear what makes you happy"

I hope her coments help. :)

:santa: Wishing everyone a Very Happy Holydays. :santa:

And let the party beguin:

Dec 24/Dec 25: Christmas
Dec 27: My 49th Birthday
Dec 28: We are off to Panama City for an large family reunion
Dec 29: One year to go for our cruise party
Dec 31: NYE
Jan 01: Hotel Pool Party
Jan 02: Flying back home

:santa: Wishing everyone a Very Happy Holydays. :santa:

Beautiful dress Tori! Formal seems to have a very wide range on the Disney cruise. We saw some people wearing tuxes and others wearing jeans and I guess their best t-shirt. Palo's and Remy's are the only places where you will get kicked out for not being dressy. So if you are comfortable dressing up, go for it. The dress is beautiful and I'm sure you will get lots of compliments on it. Plus, it'd be great to get a picture in that dress with Belle.

Hi Everyone :D
How was Ya'lls Christmas???

Mine was alright :/ Not as much fun as it would have been going up to CO to visit my mom, BUT i did have SOME fun :)
It was me and my DH's First Christmas together, so that was definetly a good memory <3
Had my baby shower just a few weeks ago and it was AWESOME! Ive never been to one before so it was a great FIRST time :)
Got ALOT of Stuff! Hahaha My son has more clothes now than me and My DH combined! :rotfl2:

But anyways, Just a little update,
Me and my Mom have been looking into going to Universal Studios OR Busch Gardens AFTER to cruise :cool1:
My mom and dad have been to Universal before but the rest of us havent and ALL of us have never been to Busch gardens either :scared1:

We are going to go for 4 days Since my DH and DM have to go back to work in CO and TX ;)

My DM is Gunna call Disney to Add one more day to our reservations at the Carribean Beach resort hotel so that way we will be staying there for a FULL week
Then off to the cruise for another week of fun! :cheer2:
