New Year's FANTASY 12/28/13

Who cares if this cruise is more than a year (and then some) away? Me thinks it would be great fun come up with some sort of fun slogan for our Fantasy New Year's Eve cruise!!!! Anyone got any great ideas that we can kick around? Once we get a slogan, we can work on getting a fantasyastic design done for it!

Beth

DKMJGAL here. DH's name is Don and we are in Room 5048.

Thanks!

Kelly

:surfweb:Got it -- thanks! Remember everyone, that the updates to the Roll Call now appear on the first page in post six until Ken comes back on and copies and pastes the information into his post one!

And on an unrelated subject..................

Does anyone have any slogan ideas? I thought of some, but maybe they are kind of silly! So bear with me... :)

Tick Tock Mouseketeers: Celebrating New Year's Eve on the Disney Fantasy
or
The Countdown Mouseketeers: Saying So Long to 2013 on the Disney Fantasy
or
The Happy New Year Mouseketeers: Counting Down Till Midnight on the Disney Fantasy

Here is an updated Roll Call until Ken (disdel) gets back on and takes this over again! Once Ken gets back on, he can copy it over to his post one, and we will be good to go! FYI: The ages of the children are at sail time. If people mentioned where they are from (or if it is over in the left column under the disname) I’ve added it here. Same goes for stateroom. Karajeboo (Kara) has agreed to organize the FE and if you mentioned it in posts, I’ve got an FE next to your name. Also, kudos to KBT35 (Kim) for setting up a Facebook page for our meet group. The link to the Facebook page is: http://www.facebook.com/groups/233227156789919/#

serbianprincess ~ (?), and DS (age 10). From Washington. Stateroom 8096.

Update: I am Angel and travel with my DS who will be ten when we travel. Over the Labor Day weekend we added my 22 year old niece who will be traveling with us in our cabin. And my mom and her sister will be next door and my cousin, her husband and two children will be next to them.

All of us are going to be interested in doing Fish Extender gifts this trip. For them it is their first Disney Cruise it will be my fourth. I love cruising!!!

Hugs to all of you!!!

NYE is on Tuesday night which would usually be Pirate night. I wonder if they will change it up? We have not done the tux thing on the other cruises. I would love to get a picture with all of my guys in them though. Steve - are you reading??

On my last cruise-goofy was in a tux and I had my DS in a tux-it makes for the best pictures. It is worth the hassle to bring the tux for one night.

:thumbsup2

I LOOOOOOOOVE the tuxedo pics- I usually get the kids tuxes on ebay for less than $30- although, now they are so big, don't know if that is possible for us anymore- I made DH buy one before our 1st Disney cruise- he looks sooooooo handsome in it!

Why only one night. The tux works for formal and semi-formal (even Palo for the grown ups). We love to dress up and are planning to go all out for New Years Eve. Two of my favorite pix from our June Fantasy cruise were "tux" shots. One was my husband with our 7 year old grandson just standing by one of the large portholes on deck 3 and the other was my 9 year old granddaughter helping her "Bop" with his cuff links. My daughter was able to buy Colin's tux on line for about $35 total for everything. He was so adorable. Just don't tell my ice hockey playing grandson I called him "adorable". New Years Eve is going to be truly magical on DCL no matter what we wear.

Does anyone have any great slogan ideas for our meet group? I know some of you are very clever and kind of "sassy" (you know who I'm talking about!) so lets get some ideas going...

Here are some of the ones I've come up with -- yes, they are rather silly -- and there must be some better ones out there in your heads! Whatever we come up with, then we can get a design made for FE gifts, magnets, etc. I've asked Millipie for help on some previous cruises and she's created some really fun designs for the meet groups I've been on.

Here are some of my silly slogan suggestions....

Tick Tock Mouseketeers: Celebrating New Year's Eve on the Fantasy

Countdown Mouseketeers: Saying So Long to 2013 on the Fantasy

Happy New Year Mouseketeers: Counting Down Till Midnight on the Fantasy

Staying Up Till Midnight!: New Years Eve Cruise on the Fantasy

It would be great for everyone to share some ideas and then we can vote on the one we like best!! So if you post your slogan suggestions, I'll keep track of all of them and then in a month or two we can vote!

Sound good???

But we are keeping our fingers crossed that our school's winter break works out so that we can go. DH is a teacher and if the teachers need to be back on January 3rd, we may have to cancel :(

We are in the same situation. I am a teacher and I am gambling that the school calendar for 13-14 will fit this cruise. If by some reason we have to go back January 3rd, then we'll have to switch to the 12/14 Fantasy. I keep hoping that the school calendar comes out SOON!!!! It makes me a little nervous. Based on the last couple years this week SHOULD be okay... and I'm very excited about NYE

I would love to add-on a couple days at WDW before or after. DH is pulling for a return to Vero Beach, we loved it there.

How about combining a couple of those:
The Midnight Mouseketeers

My husband and I are on this cruise as well. I don't have our room # on hand but we loved doing FE on the Hawaii cruise this past October.

Welcome Aboard:thumbsup2~~~

I have added you to the most recent Roll Call on page one post six. If you check that post out, you'll see information on the FE (Karajeboo is organizing) and also how to get to the Facebook page if that appeals.
