I am sure we will be going down a few days ahead of time....just haven't figured out the details yet....still planning the final details of our Thanksgiving 2012 cruise

I hate when our school does that! Usually our coaches let it slide if they know we have a family vacation planned. I think they tell you its mandatory to make sure they get all the kids there, but how can they really say that. Hopefully she can speak with him ahead of time and work it all out

I hear ya Julie. But this teacher screwed Becca during her Senior Year of High School because we were, where else WDW, and she forgot to call and say she wouldn't be at practice one, count it one, night. Even though I had sent notes to school saying we were going to be out of town. So, long story short, she didn't get the lead in the Fall muscial her Sr. Year. Even though she had had the lead for the past two years. Grrrrrrrrr.

So, hopefully this won't mess with Brooke. And yes, we will definitely talk to him before we go.

We are planning to get down to Florida a couple of days ahead of the cruise. Not sure of our plans yet, but we may fly down on Christmas night or the next day depending on airfare.

We will head down the day before and probably stay at the CI&S again. Had a great stay there last time!

Airfare will be scary I think

Has anyone ever flown Allegiant into Sanford? I just priced it for Ally and I to fly down for a surprise "girls only" 3 day cruise and it was $65 per person round trip!!!!!! The problem is that they only fly into each city a couple times each week so it didn't work out for us.....

We will drive though, only 8 hours for us.

We have done Allegiant a couple of times out of Des Moines to Sanford. This is the only way we can get a non-stop flight to Florida. Not bad flights, just they have started charging for everything. And their schedules usually don't work with ours any more. Plus, at Sanford you have to rent a car. No ME there. But the airport is really nice and easy to get to.

Depending on what we can find for airfare is going to be the big thing for us. It is a 23 hour drive time from where we live. When we have drove in the past we will leave about 2:30 am and get to Atlanta, GA, around 6ish that night. Makes for one long day. So we hope we can get some decent flights.

Hi! I just moved my dummy booking to this cruise today. We are me (Christine), my DH Stew, and our DD16 Rachel and DS 13 Kyle. This will be DCL #11 for us but the first on the Fantasy! My kids were over the moon when I told them this morning. Can't wait to get to know everyone! I already know some folks from our Dream cruise in March.

I am going to book this cruise in October when we are on our 3 day on the Dream. We are doing 5 days at WDW and then the 3 day. We'll be there for the first time for F&W and MNSSHP.

It will be myself (Dana 43 at sailing), DH (Joe 46), and DD (Tatum 13 at sailing).

But we are keeping our fingers crossed that our school's winter break works out so that we can go. DH is a teacher and if the teachers need to be back on January 3rd, we may have to cancel

I agree airfare will be interesting. A couple of you asked about Allegiant and we have flown it out of Rockford because it's only about 90 min away. I prefer flying from our local airport (15 minute drive) but sometimes the price is crazy! We may look at Des Moines too since that isn't too bad of a drive. I didn't realize they flew out of there until I read this thread.

I am so looking forward to meeting so many of you! I love the trips reports many of you have written (and comments that many of make in the trip reports). I think this looks like a great group of people!!

I ran into Ken and his wife in June on the NY 2-day and he was still planning on cruising with us then. But if things have now changed for him, I don't mind posting an updated roll call a bit further down on page one in my first post (which is post six). I'll wait a few days to see if Ken is still with us before I start going through the pages to see who needs to be added.

Back on page 6, Karajeboo agreed to organize the FE (right Kara?) so I think we are good to go with having an organizer of that wonderful Disboard invention! My kids love doing it every time we cruise. Me too!

But of course DISmoms are a work of art!!!! OK, it's just a group of Disney lovin moms who ditch the kids and husbands and go to WDW (or on the Dream) for a 4 night getaway each year! This year will be our 5th anniversary of doing this. So far it's been Ellen (podnel) and I who have done it each year. It kind of started with Ellen meeting up with her college roommate Lonnie in WDW and I crashed their party 5 years ago. A couple of others have come and gone each year - we've had as many as 6, or as few as 4, but always fun!!!!!

I haven't heard back from my PM to Ken (disdel). Since it has been awhile since he last posted here (in May), I'm not sure what's up. I did see him on the NY-2 day in June. Anyway, I took the bull by the horns and have now updated our list. I am also putting it on the front page on my first post which is #6. Once Ken gets back on, he can copy it over to his post one. FYI: The ages of the children are at sail time. If people mentioned where they are from (or if it is over in the left column under the disname) I’ve added it in ... same goes for stateroom.
