Hi everyone! Did anyone do anything interesting this weekend?

We went camping. Had a great time but always nice to be back in my own bed.

Hi everyone

We just booked this cruise and we are so excited. My DH and I will be celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary on this cruise pixiedust:

Our family consists of me and DH, our DD (Megan) who will be 18 when we cruise and our DS (John) who will be 15.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Kelly

Welcome!

Because it was so hot and humid where we live, we spent lots of time in our neighborhood swimming pool this weekend. And we also escaped to the air conditioned movie theatre to watch "Brave." My twins loved it -- me too!

I am so done with this hot weather. We have not seen Brave yet - planning in it. How old are your twins? We live in Twinsburg, OH - home of Twins Day Festival.

Awesome....our oldest DD will be 18 also :worried:

kinda weird that they could be in the adult areas with us :crazy2:

Julie

I'm hoping that they can connect ahead of time and won't want to hang with us - lol. However, we are excited about taking her to Palo for her 1st time...she can't wait for the chocolate souffle.

My princess:princess: are 8 right now but will be 10 at cruise time. Yikes, they will be double digits -- they grow up so fast!!

Hi!

We had a very nice relaxing weekend. Saturday was spent at home in the pool and we grilled some steaks with my parents. And the heat finally let up.

Sunday we had my DH's mom's birthday party. So we spent Sunday afternoon with his family. Very nice day and our nephew did a great job hosting this party at his house.

And our girls will be 20 and 17 when we cruise. Kinda awkward ages for them. Our oldest can't wait to go to Cove Cafe and our youngest will be wishing she could hang with us.

Soooo hot here this weekend! We had 4 days over 100, and 12 consecutive days of 96+ temps....

But we played couples golf Friday night and went to a belated 4th of July party on Saturday. Yesterday was designated A/C day - we came home from church and didn't leave the a/c the rest of the day! :rotfl2:

Looks like the storms are rolling in now as the "cold" front comes our way..... FINALLY!

Contacting the TA today to see about either doing a B2B in November or changing to this one. If we do this one, Morgan will only miss 2 days of school :)

We're in the same boat (no pun intended) with Skye and Hope only missing 2 days of school (Jan 3 and 4 of 2013) if this cruise goes according to plan!

I'm pretty sure we won't start back until Monday, Jan 9th. I hope.....

If our school district follows suit to this years calendar our boys will not go back until the Monday after the cruise so they will not miss any days. Steve has the week between Christmas and New Years off so he will only need to take 2 vacation days.

Our problem with this cruise for our youngest daughter is going to be with, an extra curricular activity of Show Choir. This will be her Senior Year in High School and though we will be on Winter Break her choir director has a Show Choir camp that is between Christmas and New Year's that he says is mandatory. I don't understand how school can do that when they are on break and if families are trying to get together. . . . . Luckily she is a strong dancer, leader, and singer, that he will be OK with her missing the camp.

Hard decision for her and us.

Oh, yeah, she shouldn't miss any school time.

We will have to get them together. We are trying to keep this cruise a secret and tell them on Christmas that year. I'm not sure how I am going to pack and get Fish Extender gifts together though without them figuring it out.

Is anyone else keeping the cruise a secret?

Would love to get them introduced. Both of my boys email...the elder much better than the younger, lol. We are not keeping it a secret. Did that for our first trip to DW 6 yrs ago and learned that too big a surprise is too much of a surprise for our older son to handle. No more big surprises...and they knew we were going away. The destination was the surprise, lol. The power of the mouse!

Anyone going down a day or two ahead of time? Here in the NE, you never know what the weather will be like....pamela

I hate when our school does that! Usually our coaches let it slide if they know we have a family vacation planned. I think they tell you its mandatory to make sure they get all the kids there, but how can they really say that. Hopefully she can speak with him ahead of time and work it all out:goodvibes
