We are flying in late afternoon New Years Eve and need suggestions on where to eat dinner and watch the fireworks, we will not be going in the parks this day. Thank You!

Not much help since you are not going in park. We went to hs last year and had a blast. Band and dj were awesome as were fireworks. All the parks except ak do fireworks. Mk is usually the busiest but epoct is supposed to be busy as well but I know epoct has I think 5 different stages set up for different entertainment. Not sure where you are staying but if you are around mk resorts you could watch from gf, on the beach at the poly, blt or cont. Dinning in those areas include great meal selection at gf, ohana in poly is awesome (book early). If staying around epoct you might be able to see fireworks from both ep and hs. Just depends on where you stand. Boardwalk has a lot of nice dinning areas as does bc and yc. Good luck not matter what you decide you will have an awesome time.

We have never done this before but I understand that it is really cool. The "beach" at Ft Wilderness, near the OutPost pipes in the sound track and you can see MK fireworks very well. I have always wanted to try this but the timing never worked. We were at DHS year before last for New Years Eve. It was packed but tons of fun. You have to be at the parks early on NYE because they close when the park reaches capacity.
