Can I ask all you experts which park is the least crowded or the easiest to get into on New Year's Eve?

Thanks!

Either Epcot or DHS. The Magic Kingdom will reach capacity and they will close it many times during the day.

The general rule is once your in a park stay there since you may not be able to re-enter once you leave due to the crowds. This will be our third New Years at WDW. Four words: Drink around the World!

We find the celebrations at Epcot to be more to our liking. We have done NYE several times there, and would do it again in a heartbeat!:thumbsup2

Same here-we will be there again this year. :wizard:

Epcot is by far the easiest to get in on NYE. But it also holds the most people. We always go to MK on the 30th, since Disney does the New Year's fireworks on both the 30th and 31st. That lets us go to either Epcot or DHS on NYE....two celebrations for the price of one.

We'll be in WDW again for New Years Eve. We have a fireworks cruise booked for the 30th at MK and will be going to DHS on the 31st.

IMO, EPCOT would best your best option for NYE. Great atmosphere and great food and drinks. Enjoy the holidays!:cool1::banana:

For the two NYEs we were there, we were at DHS both times. Not as crowded as the other parks, plus they did fireworks there. Never saw fireworks at DHS other than NYE (they may do them for July 4th, though).

Lots of music, they had three Fantasmics to go to and the last one was not crowded at all.

Last year we went to AK on Dec 31st. We had NO plans to be in a park at midnight (we have a son in a wheelchair, and it is SO hard to navigate thru wall to wall people. He also falls asleep early.....) AK was nice, and not TOO crowded.

We stayed at BLT, so we watched the MK fireworks from there.

We will be there for our first WDW NYE. We haven't decided where we will be yet, but leaning toward Epcot or DHS.

I have been to WDW for NYE nine times. I get to the park or my choice early in the day so I can do some things and collect some fast passes. Each and every time I have gone back to my resort for a break and returned to my original park around 6:00 pm for dinner. I have never been denied re-entrance.

Correct!!

The problem is for non-Disney guests. The parking lots will close, leaving you shut-out. The Disney transportation however will continue taking Disney Resort guests to the parks.

FYI - MK will shut down on NYE and usually 1 0r 2 days prior around noon. But MK usually will reopen in a few hours.

We go to DHS since they only do fireworks twice a year - July 4th and NYE. Epcot fireworks is an extension of Illuminations. MK fireworks are just crazy good.

Where ever you end up, it will be crowded.....but the celebrations are so worth it.

Yup. Usually after the parade is over and all the fed-up people leave.

OP, If you go to DHS, make sure you find a central spot in front of the BAH. We were over near the lake across from Hollywood and Vine in what I thought was a good spot until the fireworks started :headache:.

You can also see the NYE fireworks at Epcot and the MK at midnight on 12/30. We usually go to the MK and then stay for the evening EMH (3 am!). I don't recommend doing that if you're planning an early wake up for 12/31.
