I swear this is the last question for today anyway!!:rotfl2:

Has anyone experienced the park on New Years Eve and was it really horrendous?

My mate and I are thinking it would be very nice to be in the Park on New Year Eve and stay a couple of nights as well, we can only travel on NYE as that is all work would allow me off plus the Friday so will travelling by Eurostar be really horrendous and are we better trying to travel the evening before and changing trains?

Also can you book a table for dinne rthat night or are they all geared up for Gala Dinners?

My friend went the last NYE & said the park was absolutely packed. She is glad she went for the experience but wouldn't go that time of year again.

I don't think they got on many rides as the length of queues was really long.

I've done it 3 out of the last 4 years......

Yes it's busy - on NYE your going to be queuing for everything and it is busy. I know a lot of people who have small kids complain about how busy it is on this day. For the fireworks and countdown Main St is gridlock. For last year I stood near the train station and it was ok. If staying it is a long day esp with kids.

I would recommend it to returning visitors - never for a first visit.

Hope you decide to go!

Thanks for the replies, we're goinh in June first time then returning in Oct for Halloween and now we've decided for NYE!!!

i wrote up abit about our nye trip here on another thread for someone else- if you want to take a look - might help:goodvibes

OOHHH thanks for that Tigger, really helpful info!!

I take it from your report that the restuarants in the Park after a certain time are only serving special dinners, ie we couldn't book a table in Walts for 8pm? The latest time could be say 4pm?

Yes thats right but it depends which resturant it is - as not all of them do the special meals. I dont know about this year but last year it was all the hotel resturants, walts, blue lagoon,Billy Bob's La Grange ,Billy Bob's La Grange, a gala buffet at in the Studios had special meals and there was also a show and meal at newport bay. Other than that i would just book early to get the time you want- i didnt book till later so there wasnt much choice in times
