New Years Eve traffic ? Any input or advice

We will need to travel to back Grand Floridian Villas after our Discovery Cove day on NYE around 4-5pm... what should I expect as far as traffic at that time.

Hoping we can get to our room without hours of waiting in traffic.. but we have never attempted so no clue.

Back to the GF should be not to bad except at the toll booth. The parks will most likely be full to capacity by 5pm. If there are any with room, it's going to be EPCOT. I would recommend working the back roads to avoid the toll booth if your up to it. From DC, I4 to Epcot Center Dr and exit if you are going to OKW. At the light take a left to Bonnet Creek Parkway and take another left onto Vista Way at the intersection by Golden Oak. This will bring you back to World Dr after the toll booth and you continue to the GF as normal.

There is another way, coming in from Reames Rd but if you are not intimately familiar with back stage at MK, don't try it. I would use it on NYE because I am and can do it confidently.
