Okay so we have decided to go to WDW during one of the busiest times of the year, now for the planning.

We are going to spend New Year's at EPCOT and would like a sit down restraunt for dinner, any suggestions? I am kinda looking at the Beirgarten, It will be two adults, our 15 year old boy and our 11 year old girl, who is a picky eater.

Thanks!

No suggestions as to restaurant as you know your family best. But I have read that each restaurant celebrates the new year as it occurs in their home country. So I would try to make a reservation so that you'll be dining during that time.

I think Germany is 6 hours ahead of EST. So maybe make a reservation for 5 or so if you decide on Germany. That way even if there is a wait on that busy day, you should be dining by then.

Anyway, have fun!

We ate NYE 2003-4 at Teppanyaki in Japan. We spent the morning at MGM and then got there around 4pm and had 7:30pm adr. We did some touring(crowds are huge!) and when we got to the restaurant we still had to wait 45min to be seated. It may have been because it was raining and people came early. We have not had trouble the 2 times we park hopped on NYE day between MGM and Epcot, but remember that some parks have closed to all guests when they reach max capacity(even to resort guests, although that is the final stage). I know that MK had been closed to all guests by 10:00am NYE days that we spent elsewhere. If they close to all guests, you cannot enter even if you have adr.

just so you know---I called over a week ago for le Cellier for NYE and there was nothing left.

We decided to go for a sit down lunch at the Japan building (not sure what the new name is) nstead of dinner this nite, figured if we get hungry we can catch some cs food somewhere. Hoping to welcome in the new year at EPCOT, if its too full then guess well try MGM or just hang out at the boardwalk and try to catch both MGM & EPCOTs NYE fireworks

Right now the answer would be "any place you can get a reservation".

And Central European Time (Italy, France, Germany, Norway) is six hours ahead of Eastern Time. Japan @11:00am, China at Noon. UK and Morocco (GMT) is five hours (7:00pm Eastern), Canada (Ottawa is on Eastern), Mexico (Central 1:00am on the 1st).
