I guess they just announced the NYE Epcot buffet themed as Fantasia 2009 (located in the open pavillion in World Showcase - I think where they have party for the senses during F&W). $54.99 for adults. Has anyone done this buffet before and what did you think? We have ADR's at Tutto Italia for NYE but I'm thinking this may be more festive.

Any feedback would be so appreciated!

i asked the same question, no responses either. i couldnt find any info on it on disney's website. on Deb's website she had something similar from last year.

Hello,danjulia and disneypolybride2008.

I also would like a little more detailed info about NYE buffet. The announcement doesn't give very much info. I have ADR at Teppan Edo for lunch. As danjulia stated this does sound festive. Maybe third time asked will be a charm pixiedust:

I called Disney Dining and got a little more information. Reservations are available in 15 minute increments from 4 pm on. She read the menu to me (typical hot & cold buffet items) and I found out it is on Dining Plan for 2 TS credits. She had vague information on live entertainment.

I don't know what to do - I wish I could find some reviews or something else before I commit to a switch...

Calling reservations was going to be my next move. So thank you danjulia for info.
Also hoping for more input before switching.

I have Tutto ADRs right now too and am having the same issue with making a decision. We've got some picky eaters so I'd love to see a general menu, but I'm also interested in the entertainment. And is this like a regular ADR? You get your seating time, eat, then leave? Or can you come for dinner, leave, come back for entertainment and a soda....?

Just like a regular ADR for a buffet meal - come at your assigned time, eat and then leave...no coming back in...

Anyone, anyone who's done this before???? We'd love your thoughts - worth it or not?

In 2006, I squeezed by ( in the mass of people) the old Odyssey restaurant on New Years Eve, I am assuming this is where the buffet is. There was a Buffet ( or party there). It was roped off from the crowds and there were CMs keeping us park attenders at bay. I peeked in the windows and I saw crab legs and lots of food.. I was very envious. I did notice though that those people were more dressed up than I were, so maybe this was a private party? Be prepred for crowds!
