New Years Eve at Disney

Hello.

I want to take my 3 year little boy to Disney for new year. Arriving new years eve for the day in the park and obviously all the new years entertainment and then heading home new years day afternoon.

Would anyone have any tips if this is possible.

Can you just go there on new years eve? Any experiences and opinions ??

I'd love to know if its worth it or not.

Prepare for it to be extremely busy. If its anything like the past couple of weekends there is a risk the parks will be full so not open to people unless staying onsite

My only experience on New Year's Eve was a couple years ago. For me I will never return. The crowds were such thst you could barely move. Loud obnoxious people. I had my then 10 year old by the hand and was so afraid if I let go I would never find her again. My husband had to walk in front of us as a battering ram so we could move through the crowd. Some people might like the excitement but it's not for me.

We went for NYE last year and actually did not find it to be overly crowded (much less so that in August and for the Halloween party that year). We did spend NYE in the Studios though, not the Disneyland park. We found that the major crowds arrived on the 2nd January and we felt that day was much too crowded for us. We will be going back again this year, but again doing the Studios for NYE and getting up for early entry on the 1st January.

I wouldn't suggest going on one of the busiest days of the year with such a young child, also, if its your first visit, you wont enjoy it as much, unless your into the whole new year thing. The ques for the rides and meet and greets will be long. If you have your heart set on new year tho, I would suggest a longer stay of 3- 4 nights so you can experience all of the parks and the new year celebrations too
