New Year's Eve arrival question

Sorry if this has been asked...I'm sure it has, but I can't find it.

We are arriving on New Year's Eve in the evening. Because our flight arrives a little later than I would like, we are going to take a Town Car from the airport straight to Hollywood Studios if that is possible.

My question is this: Will our Magic Bands work for Park admission and dining plan if we go straight to the park? We are passholders who have not activated our vouchers, so I know what that we will need to do that first. I assume that will take care of the park admission. However, do we have to check in at our resort in order for the dining plan entitlements to become active? I have already done online check-in and would love to avoid making an extra stop at the resort before heading to the park. I'm assuming that a stop off at the resort is necessary, but thought it was worth an ask.

If you have your magic band and MDE account you will be fine. I don't know if Disney gax policy on Limo ep park ehey allow cads so I think you will be ok.

I think that when you do online check in it asks for arrival time, which you can put as anytime you want, so I don't think you have to stop at the resort.
Unless you want to drop your bags off and take Disney transportation to HS.
Your magic bands should contain your annual pass information when you linked them to your MDS, so that when you scan them for entry they become active at that point. It would be the same for your resort stay (because you did online check in) and any ADR's that you have for the visit as well.

This is going on the assumption that you have linked all of these reservations to your MDE acct.
