Where is the best place to go on new years eve it has to be suitable for all ages from 11- 53 thanks in advance

We have had 4 NYE in Florida, all of them in EPCOT. We say every year we will try somewhere else but after 4 fantastic NYE there I can see us being there again this next NYE.
It gets very very busy, we get there for opening, do rides, get fast passes. In the evening get to England at 7pm(midnight at home) great atmosphere, countdown etc. Then watch early fireworks and battle our way out. We then get some food and to DTD for midnight fireworks.
A very long day but we love it. Our age group will be 13-72.

Another one for Epcot. When we did NYE we spent 15hrs there and it was great.
Wasn't keen on Christmas in WDW but loved NYE.

Hi

Yep, just did NYE at Epcot ourselves and it was excellent. They had dance stages in China, Italy, America and a couple in future world. Illuminations at midnight was amazing and each country in world showcase had it's own mini-display. Crowds were heavy generally, but where aren't they going to be :). If you want dinner there book early...we ate at Nine Dragons on daughter's request (sigh) and they had no stand-bys....we were seated in 10 minutes with our ressie, but in that time we watched 15-20 turned away. If Nine Dragons is full, everywhere is full!

We could not bear to be in a park from early morning until gone mindnight (remember it takes ages to get out and to get your car from the parking lot).

Lat NYE we had a relaxing day doing a bit of shopping in the morning, lazing by the pool in the afternoon. At 7.30pm we went to Disney's Spirit of Aloha Show at the Polynesion Resort and had a great time. The food was excellent and plentiful the show was a little cheesy in places but was good humoured and the fire dancers were just amazing. After the show (10.30 ish) we jumped on the monorail and visited the plush hotels and saw all their Christmas decorations and then made our way back to the Poly beach where we sat and watched the Magic Kingdom midnight fireworks (with music).

It was a lovely night with no crowds. We went to Epcot on NY Day and it was empty - no queues at all!

Whatever you choose to do, have a great NYE 2008!

We have done two NYE's in Magic Kingdom and the atmosphere was amazing. That said the park is rammed to capacity so you don't really go for the rides on that day you go more to take it all in. You need to be there early as the park usually reaches capacity mid morning with no more admissions so it's a very long day. Both times we booked dinner at Crystal Palace which was a welcome break from the crowds for a while. If you do go I'd recommend seeing in the new year at the exit end of Main Street then you are at the head of the crowds going to the monorail or ferry because as soon as the last fireworks go off it's manic :)

Hi

Just to add to my post, we didn't enter Epcot until 5.00pm and although pretty full, it wasn't near capacity.

Thanks for all the ideas Epcot sounds good but we are not sure if we are getting a pass to all the parks this time as we go quite alot we where considering only doing mvmcp and then sea world and universal parks so it may need to be some where we don't need park admission to .

I thought the Polynesian Beach was reserved for resort guests on July 4th and NYE?

I don't know if that is the policy or not. I just rang Disney Dining and booked it, they asked if we were staying on-site or not (as they do for everying you book with them) and I told them no. No-one mentioned a guest only policy.

If you don't ask, you don't get!
