...Gimme back the 70s anytime!:hippie:

Careful what you wish for, Aisling! :rotfl2: My DH was teeny when I first met him at age 15 in 1978 - 28W for many years! Now that was skinny!!! He used to wear those tight-at-the-top ;) , flared-at-the knee jeans and his idol was Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin - need I say more..?!!

...ryan still wears his baggy...but at 6'1" & 130 - i don't know that they make any 'tight' enough for him.....just took him shopping yesterday - bought two pairs of jeans & a pair of slacks - both are 30W & he DEFINITELY needs a belt;)

Matt's always been skinny and has always worn relatively tight jeans - currently 32W/32L - but needs a belt. :cool2:

I have a different problem with Samuel - the boy's just so flippin' solid! I've recently had to get him new jeans and The Gap were by far the best fit - 33W/32L - no belt required! He's not tall (tho' taller than his Dad at around 5'9") and he's not carrying any spare fat but he plays a lot of rugby so is muscular which makes it difficult to get jeans to fit!

Hey Custardtart,

My family has a dog.. still resides w/my parents, and the poor thing started breaking out a couple of years back w/bad skin rashes.. and would lick herself raw.. Turns out.. after years of testing and stuff.. she is allergic to human food.. or something in human food... so that said.. she can no longer have table scraps.. she does get some vegetables heated up and mixed in w/her dog food. My grandmother has the biggest issue w/the dog's diet.. my grandmother has demensia.. and keeps trying to give the dog "treats" that are not sanctioned... then my mom or dad or aunt, or sometimes even my sister or I have to yell NO!!! as she is trying to sneak it to the dog.. and then well.. she gets rather aggravated at us.. for "constantly telling her what to do" ... then she is mad at us for a while and then cant remember why.. and then is made for about a 1/2 hr longer after that.. before she fogets altogther that she was even mad.

Sorry.. that was an aweful long way of saying.. if you do feed her human treats, perhaps cut those out of her diet and see if there is an improvement.

Thanks Kelly for the info! :thumbsup2 I DO feed them the odd treat - cheese, meat scraps, that sort of thing. I'm actually giving them more than usual at the mo as it's the only way I can get her to take her meds! I'll have to find a way of cutting this out of the diet...

Working on my Xmas cards & just took a break & ordered a 'wine cellar' from Macy's for son in law....they offered free shipping today so...saves me a trip (since i didn't think of it yesterday) when i was there at the store....duh!!! Also got us some new "flatware" for everyday use....the set we have - we have had for some time now.....bought some new forwal flatware a year or so ago so time for some daily. Macy's had it on sale from 285 to 139....so not a bad price at all - esp for Oneida & for 12 settings....

Anyway....send me your address if you want a Xmas card~

John took me to a Flyer's game!

His friend was sick and offered them to us, alls I had to do was get him a free bobble head doll (tonight's giveaway.) We did good, we got three! The Flyers were horrible, lost in an ugly way tonight :(

I'm DISing and scrapbooking (traditional style) while I wait for Britt to get dressed. She and I are going to Target for a bit~

My laptop is giving me trouble, and I hate the idea of putting it in for repair again. My power port keeps breaking. Chad is so good, he keeps offering to buy me a new laptop, but I'm really really attached to my laptop, I know it so well, besides the fact that he doesn't have the cash and would have to charge it, so I don't want him to do it, even though I appreciate the offer. Wow, that was a run-on sentence!

Will somebody please post, I don't want to be a threadkiller!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Louise wants to plan a summer WDW trip, and it's so tempting, but I really want to save that money for the cruise. If it weren't for Jesse's nose surgery next month ($12,000:scared1: ), we could do it with no problem. But after his surgery, I have to keep a low vacation profile and re-fund our savings account, so WDW is out of the plan for me.

Last night Mel was funny, though unintentionally. He came home from tennis practice asking me if we have bandaids and cotton balls (which he knows we have, so I knew right away he was looking for attention). He had a skinned knee from a fall on the court, and boy was he playing it up for all it was worth! He was moaning and groaning, limping, and ouching over his little boo boo! I had to dab it with alcohol, put antibiotic on it, and bandage it up. If we had crutches, he would have used them!:lmao: When my kids were little and they skinned their knees, I'd clean it with soap and water and slap a piece of brown paper bag on it, and send them back out to play. All better! Mel is such a big baby!

Aisling, I agree with Brenda, you won't kill this thread~No worries~

I was reading here last night...sometimes I'm in a reading mood, soemtimes I'm in a posting mood :confused3

Happy Anniversary Brenda!!!!

Since John and I won't really be together for ours I think we'll be going out the night before. There's a Village of SHops here in Rancocas that does a Christmas Walk/Open House every year, we'll go to that. Afterwards I will take him out to dinner, the sushi place he likes is right around the corner from Rancocas.

Rose and I spoke last night about the trip. Adrian and I weren't sure what we are doing for dinner the first night of our trip. Everybody arrives at different times that day, Rose around two, DS and me around 7 and her sister and niece come in later. I toyed with the idea of going right to DTD but now we may be waiting in the airport and bringing Rose's niece and sister to the house with us. Rose said she'll take care of dinner if I bring home Jeanine and Amy forher.

Aisling, it's hard to say no, isn't it? For all the trips I go on, I probably say no to four or five others. Rose travels ALOT and asks me to go with her all the time. I've learned to take a step back and make sure it's feaseable before I say yes. There will always be another trip.

good morning.

not much to say just that.

oh ya, one more thing. I saw an ad on tv for the coffee maker at Big Lots! Not sure of the price, but I thought it was odd to see it there :confused3

Aisling, I sent your discs out today...they should be to you in the next day or so :woohoo: I popped a little bitty surprise in the envelope for you...maybe you can use it in your scrapbook for our 05 cruise ;)

I have a pile of them, as many of you as I can get them to will also get one...no, I will not tell you what it is. Mom, you'll get yours when you pick up your discs tomorrow :)
