sorry to hear you are having a bad time of it. fortunately for molly these were easy to pull. I saw on her xrays (she has the shadow of hers starting in her mouth already) that wisdom teeth are usually much deeper and harder to get out. :flower3:  hope you recover soon.

Good morning!

Chad, Jesse, and my nephew Cory just left for a 5 hour trip upstate to meet their cousins for a weekend of paint ball, which I call pain-ball! It's a Boy Cousin event, and Jesse is thrilled, as this will be his first time.

Nan, I'm so happy to hear that mom is doing well. What a relief it is for you. I know it's not over, but a big hurdle has been crossed! My love to Molly, what a brave girl, having 5 teeth pulled! And Jade, I'm glad you got through your extraction ok, I know you were scared a bit. Mel is TERRIFIED of the dentist, which is a shame, because his teeth are horrible. He takes such great care of his body, being an athlete, but his teeth, OMG, he needs to get to a dentist. He brushes, flosses, gargles, but it must be a genetic thing, because his whole family has teeth issues, rotting in their mouths no matter how clean they keep their teeth. I know, TMI, and Mel would kill me if he read this!:rotfl:

Last night I had a fantastic dream of being on the Wonder (I don't know why I dreamed the Wonder, as I've never been on it), and you all were there! You'll be happy to know that you all had a great time!

Today Casey is coming over, and a friend is bringing over boxes and boxes of Casey's books which have been in storage, so we're going to have a fun day going through them all.

Wishing Kaz and Brenda the best times on their trips!

I've been quiet the last two days becuase I got laid off from the office I worked for. My paycheck didn't come from the skatepark, it still came out of the office I worked for. My health benefits are going to continue thru the end of the year and I am getting a severence check, but that's it.

The owner of the skatepark has already told me he cannot afford my salary. I gave him a list of what I expect if I am to continue to work for him...

I started with, I want shorter hours. If I am to take a pay cut I expect my hours to be cut. I also told him I expect him to pick up my medical starting at the beginning of next year.

I have no idea if he even wants me back...I am more bothered by the fact that he hasn't given me a yes or no yet.

I already put in for unemployment and will be going back to school if I don't go back to the skatepark.

I am ok with this...a little moody because of how it happened, but fine.

My son had another car accident last night...this made me realize how unimportant a job is compared to my family. Dumdum tried to take my new geo out. It is a manual transmission car and was in gear when he started it. It drug him all the way up my driveway and had him pinned under it by the time I got outside. He has some really bad bruises and cuts, but luckily that is all. The stairs stopped the car, I got in it and took it out of gear while my FIL and neighbor moved the car off of him.

Today was John's birthday. He and I spent the day together. We went to the Cranberry Festival and grocery shopping then went to Mastori's to pick up his birthday cake. We just finished dinner so I thought I'd check in with y'all while I had a few minutes.

I am fine. My son is fine. I wish you guys all hugs, prayers and pixie dust that you all are fine...

LYMI!

Colleen, all I can say is damn. For all you have done for them that is so incredible. I am thankfull that Adrian is ok. Do you need anything? I know you are strong. Love you & everyone else

Tigg:

Sorry to hear your news on both counts. Most important glad that Adrian is ok.

The work thing sucks for sure, but I know you have tons of skills and you will use this as not a door closing but a window opening to let you out to fly somewhere new.

I'm always here to bounce off of it you need me.

Take Care & LYMI,

Nan

I will absolutely take my time to fly~

I already sent in a recruiting questionnaire for a travel company, I am going to have unemployment pay for my last two classes to finish my Business Admin degree and I am doing research on how to get a real estate license.

I am tempted to just say good riddens but am leaving a little window open for the skatepark if the offer is worthy. If it's not worthy, I'm gone. As my friend Nan said, this one door is closing but the window is wide open and waiting for me to fly thru it~

My son is good. The family is GRATEFUL he is ok. Just bumps and bruises on his legs. My husband is convinced my son has nine lives. Now I find myself more nervous than ever for him to go out at night. I want to keep him home and safe but know I have to let him go. He needs to go out.

Holy crap, I echo this! You practically RAN that business! Let's pray that this is a blessing in disguise, that it's freeing you for something better.

And OMG about Adrian! The poor kid, he must have been shook up! And poor you! Try not to worry about him going out at night, because this experience will probably make him more careful than ever. I know the terror our kids put us through.

Tig, you mentioned once or twice that Adrian may be thinking about going into radiology tech, and you never said if he went through with it, but I urge you to encourage him to go for it. It's only 2 years, and the money is so good, and he can get a job anywhere. And it's fairly easy work, doing MRIs and CT scans. The courses aren't too intense, so even if he isn't the studious type, it'll be ok. Talk to him about it!

Even for you, if you finish your business degree, you can apply to do billing or some other business thing in a hospital, and make good money and have job security. The health field is booming, in every area.

Happy belated birthday to John. I'm glad you enjoyed your day with him!

You all are the best...

Adrian is taking the current semester off to build his finances back up (getting hours at his job.) We are looking into him going to a tech school to finish up with the radiology thing. He's already put in a year and a half into his core credits...he's going back in January either way. The potential income and variety of job possibilities is why he signed up for radiology :)

I am cool with the layoff...Brenda and I already spoke about me being a consultant for her, I've put in my application with the Travel Company that was at the Magicmeet. When my unemployment package gets here I will see what I have to do to get me the one semester of college I need. In the meantime I am going to see who has the best offer to teach me to be a Realtor. Most companies have their own schools they use for new hires, I don't want to go to some Joe Shmoe school and have it not count towards a license.

I have been thinking about this for a long time, I was seriously thinking about quitting the skatepark but I guess I was too comfortable to let it go...they are actually helping me out cause I get $5000 severence and health benefits and still get to collect unemployment checks if I need them.

It's all good.

Adrian is better today. He and Cate went out last night and went to a festival today. He is resting a bit since he is kinda sore...I counted my blessings many times in the last 48 hours...

Mom, I got your message. We're cool. I gotta shower before I go get Britt from work...TTFN...

Ain't my girl the best. Can you tell I'm a proud Mom?

Well, on a good note - I had to pick my vacations weeks for next year. I will have to take off 2 weeks in order to do the cruise. Not a bad thing.
I've decided to drive to WDW. That takes a day & a half. Not a bad thing.
In order to stay at Shades Of Green (SOG is across from the Polynesian on Disney Property) (It is also mostly military & thier civilian employees) one must book 3 days in what they call "Hollydays". Not a bad thing.
The nightly rate is by my rank as a SFC - E7. Not a bad thing. Only $95 a night for a room as good as any Disney resort that goes for $265 a night.
On the third night or sooner if they want my family can join me. definitely a good thing.

So now we know where we are staying so we can all (you guys too) hang out when we decide where to meet the night before we leave. definitely a good thing:goodvibes :cool1: :hippie:  :woohoo:

Hi all....home from DL...good trip...FAST trip....gotta get to bed though but wanted to pop in & say hi & catch up...
So glad everyone is doing okay...Tigg....Molly...Jade...& of course Adrian too...YIKES...and the rest of you as well
Off to bed - really worn out...will catch up more tomorrow...

glad your home safe Brenda. Fill us in on your trip when you have time. Pumpkins were great huh?

:rolleyes1 it is so quiet here, I keep lurking thru out the day to see in anyone has anything to chat about, but nope, not a word...I didn't have anything to say either, sorry...:rolleyes1 :sad2:

Good Morning all~
came home to what my hubby says is his idea of a clean house....well not exactly....so spent last night cleaning - laundry - grocery shopping & going to bed early so i can get back to my normal routine...altho i got up at 2:20 today...not really routine....but did give me a chance to jump online & see what's new....hope you all have a great day...best finish getting ready & packed for the gym....c ya l84

Good morning

Brenda, glad you're back, and that you had a good DL trip. I got your info about CMemories, and I'll be looking through it. I started a scrapbook last yearfor Chad's 21st birthday, and never finished it, so I'll be finisheing that up, and then trying my hand at digital. I do hope to get to Cali, thank you so much for the invitation. I'll let you know when!

Last night we had afamily meeting about cruise details. We have a cat 6 and an cat 11 booked for us all, and Louise is interested in upgrading her cat 11 to a porthole room, but the price from an inside to a porthole already went up $800 since we originally booked. And we talked about where to stay the night before. I was liking the GF for one night, but we all agreed to get 2 rooms at Pop, and use the extra money for excursions. We also looked into staying at the port, but we want to have a little WDW before the cruise. Mel even put his 2 cents in, and suggested one night at Universal, which he loves, but we decided to do a separate Universal trip when we can, maybe next summer if funds are there, which I doubt, since it'll be so close to cruise time.

The issue is that Jesse's $5000 nose surgery is now $12,000, and my insurance won't cover it, as they say the doctor is "out of network". We're prepared to pay it, but I'm going to fight the insurance company in the meantime, as his nose problem is 90% functional and only 10% cosmetic. His surgery date is December 18th, so that he has Christmas break to recover.

Wishing everyone a good day!:)

Think about WDW after the cruise...the crowds will be thinning as families will be leaving to return home before school starts...but then Jesse's may start as well...Ryan's won't start till the 8th or 9th...so we are going to spend a few days in Orlando before going back to Cali~I know Rus & Chel have picked a hotel to stay in the night of the 26th at the port...but i don't know which one it is...i want to be one of the 1st ones aboard ;)

Yikes medical care has really gotten expensive....i hope you WIN with the ins. company - that's an incredible amt of money for out of pocket expense

Wishing everyone a good day!:)
Ditto!!!

Johns aunt is near the port. I spoke to mom about us possibly staying with them the night before the cruise.

I'm now thinking we could drive down with or fly down and meet mom at sog for two nights. Wed thurs I think. Go to Melbourne and visit dad and aunt and uncle then sleeping at radisson or Ron jons or wherever you all are, to get ready to cruise

We like universal.

I am trying to fit it into our week in December. I have the keys to the kingdom tour and the Christmas fantasy tour on my list. We could do universal in two days and still want to hit sea world for a day. That would leave us one down day. Not bad.

Since our wedding anniversary is the first day I thought we might go someplace special for dinner...ooh! House of blues! I gotta see if their December calendar is out yet.

Aisling: Sucks not having the surgery covered....we've been dealing with this on the dental issues for Molly, 1st round braces 3.2K last week 1.1K for cleaning and pulling, 2nd round of braces ~3K+...seems like a cruise to me  Oh well, as I've said before it's only money. I just hope that our retirement will someday fund itself.

Keep trying on your insurance, sometimes the squeeky wheel gets oiled.

I know you are worried about him having it, he is your baby, but I bet it will be great once it's over.

morning....just my breeze thru on the way out the door....

Colleen - looks like a great time in WDW in Dec~

Good morning gang,

I just dropped Jesse off at school, and as he was getting out of the car, he said he forgot his monologue for drama class on his desk. So I told him I'd meet him by the security dek at school at lunch time to bring the monologue to him. Once again, mom saves the day!

I have some good news...last night I became an aunt for the 11th time! My brother became a father to his first son, Joshua Aydin, and we're all thrilled. We're grateful that he's home from Iraq to be there for the birth, since he missed much of the pregnancy. He has two little girls, and now he says his family is complete. My mom went out to South Dakota for the birth, and it's very sentimental, because my SILs mom passed away three weeks ago, and didn't get to see her grandson. But she's seeing him from heaven.:goodvibes

I'm by the park, and it's drizzling rain, but the Chinese Tai Chi people are still out there doing their thing. I'm debating if I should be a fair-weather girl and skip today. I give them a ton of credit for sticking to their exeecise routine, rain or shine.

Tig, are you enjoying being a woman of leisure?

Aisling...CONGRATULATIONS to everyone on Joshua's birth - SOOOOO glad your brother is HOME for the birth of his baby!!!

It's been raining all night here - is supposed to clear up a little this afternoon...but showers are pretty much expected off/on thru the week.

Today is DD's 27th birthday....i don't have any idea HOW she can be that old...i'm only 40!
