Morning all~
got about 4 days from our April trip into the scrapbook = and that took about 38 pages...yikes - hope i can get the other 6 days on the remaining pages so i can have the entire trip in one album...only have 90 +/- a few to work with....

Hope you're all having a great Sunday....

Hi to Karen (if you're lurking) - but vacationing in Spain would keep me away from the boards too - very little does...but that would! or a trip to London - Paris - Rome...hummmm - i think i'm ready for a vacation...only another two months for New York City....:cool1:

Hi everyone,
we're back from the MagicMeet in PA. It was tons of fun, and I learned so much about Disney. There were prizes, a nice lunch buffet, talks on specific topics in different conference rooms, and lots of mingling. So far, this is the only photo that will upload to my photobucket. It's Disunc, Tiggie, and her friend Rose. I don't know why only half came out, so I'll go check into the problem.

Brenda, big congratulations to Ryan!

Thanks Aisling!!! You've been thru it with Chad so you know how it feels....& guess Jesse is right around the corner too.....huh?

Looks like you all had SO MUCH fun!!! Is so great to see all the photos too!!!
Keep 'em coming!!!

Hi All!

Great pic, Aisling! I think Tig looks great in Mickey ears! Glad you had fun.

Brenda, I haven't gone back to read previous posts, but I'm assuming you're a CM consultant based on your earlier post. I love to scrapbook, well, I'm best at collecting stuff to scrap with, but I am really going to get going on my scrapbooks once Piper is better at occupying herself. Glad your son got his license. What kind of new car are you getting?

Jade, we are flying. There's no way we could go another way with Piper. She wouldn't make it in the car that long! (neither would grim, for that matter! :) )

As for the soda discussion. Grim drinks TONS of soda (diet). Well, he has actually cut down a lot this summer, thankfully. He used to drink about 8 sodas a day, I bet. I was worried about all the caffeine and artificial sweeteners. I like to drink one soda every day or two, but I like full sugar. I usually drink caff. free coke since Piper came along. However, I got all of us hooked on tea this summer. I found some really great tea at a tea shop in town. Its different flavors of a rooibos tea, which is an african red tea. It is naturally caffeine free, and is super high in antioxidants. I love the "Pearls of the Nile" flavor because it is full of fruity flavors. Grim calls it "red vines tea" because he thinks it takes like red vines licorice. We have also tried the caramel and vanilla rooibos teas. We drink them iced, and I feel good about drinking them because there isn't any caffeine or sugar. Although, I have to add a splenda some days for a little sweetness. Anyway, I get the from a Souvia tea shop. I don't know if they're a chain or just found in the Phoenix area, but if you like tea you should check it out! They have tons of different types of tea and hundreds of flavors.

Ok, that's my piece for the day.

Happy Monday everyone!

Bye for now,

::MinnieMo Dede

We all had a very nice time...

I was so busy I totally spaced calling Nan from the meet :faint:
ask Aisling, I had to pull myself away constantly just to spend time with everyone at my table.

I have a few pics to share but haven't loaded them yet, prob tonight~

Aisling is such a sweetheart, her son Jesse won the Minnie statue that was our table's centerpiece but had heard me say earlier that I wanted her to go with my Mickey and Pluto I have it home...so she gave her to me!!! :goodvibes:  Thank you again my friend, I'll post a pic of my new trio later when I get my pics into photbucket.

(btw Aisling-Your picture is half gray cause photobucket didn't load it all the way.)

Congrats to Ryan Brenda! and welcome to my world

 Happy Monday Magic Mateys!

Dede - yes i've been a CM Cons for 9 years....i started when Ryan was 7 & Jennifer 17...a LOT easier when they are that age. Altho i have lots of young moms as clients too - but they typically don't / can't work on their albums at home - so they take advantage of my 12-15 hour crops once a month at my house...(no phones / no kids / no hubbies buggin them for anything)....
Looking at Infiniti G35 or M35 or the Lexus ES350...haven't driven any of them yet though....the sooner i get a car...the sooner mine goes to Ryan:scared1:

How Nice of Aisling...anxiously awaiting your photos too...but sure you need a 'breather'!!! Yeah - we're glad he has his license - but a little worried too...not to mention i have NO idea yet HOW much the insurance will be....YIKES!!!!:scared1:

were flying too, a yeare in half ago we drove, my dad relly did the driving...3days to cross tx isnt worth it

I just found out that my brother John will be home from Iraq on August 3rd! Thank God this was a short deployment. He said they're so busy, the troops are getting burnt out fast, so they give them shorter tours, but multiple times. At least he'll be home when his first son is born in September/October. He sent some more pictures, of sandstorms and of the bombs they've been dropping, but I'm having trouble loading pics into my photobucket. Today I booked for me and Jesse to fly out to North Dakota with my sister and my 4 year old niece from August 17 to the 23rd. DSs hubby and sons will be in Egypt during that time on vacay.
Can't wait to see John!

I just wanted to share my good news. My parents will be SO relieved when he's home.

For some reason, my photobucket will only half load the pics.

When Chad gets home, I'll see if he can help me with this.

Such good news on your brother, Aisling. Often times I send my prayers for his safety and all of your comfort and peace with him gone. A daddy needs to be present when a baby comes into the world. At least in the same room (can ya tell I was giving Paul a jab there for sleeping while I was laboring with Molly about 10 years ago this month....)

I have surfaced a great video my friend made of the kids at HMB from 2002 I'm going to see if he will utube it so you can see it, it makes me cry for such a simple time we had, walking on the beach with a 2 & 5 year old...were did my babies gooooo and grow so fast on me.

Thanks Tigg for not calling, I know you really meant to share the love with me at an ungodly hour, but your time is not yet here. You have to have it happen in a moment of Disney bliss and just call to share, can't be a premeditated action, then it loses its flair. I know mine is coming....

Oh my gosh I almost forgot to tell you dun da dun.....

THE POD IS EMPTY

It is getting picked up Wednesday. Yes for exactly one year I have had a big ugly POD in my driveway. You new folks are asking why for one year did you have a POD in your driveway. The answer is I'm LaZY!!!!!! We needed it to store the family room furniture in for the floors to be refinished while we went to London last summer and I was too lazy to bring all the Crap back into the house. I have gotten rid of a lot of it, but still have many boxes in the garage (why yes we do also have a 2 car garage to use for storing crap, but no that isn't enough space for my crap) ok....I have about 8-10 tubs of scrapbooking crap...yes that is the truth. I must get a handle on this problem, at least I don't buy that much stuff anymore...(ha sure I don't)

okay, it's late I'm tired and you really don't want to hear me talk crazy anymore do ya? :rolleyes1  :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

nite nite,

Nan

Aisling - OMG - that is the BEST news.....SOOOOO glad he'll be home for the new baby - and just home where it's safe(er)!!!!

Nan - i think your idea of a POD is great....hummmmmm maybe i'll get one to store stuff in while we clean "OUT" our garage...3 car garage...not one car in it:rotfl: and we've lived here almost 5 years!!!!:lmao:

Aisling, I am so happy to hear that your brother is well and coming home for the birth of their baby. I can't believe how bad it has gotten for our men and women who are serving in Iraq.

Hearing your news made me think of the the times that Kensell came home. The first time we (my younger son, Kensell's girlfriend, Kensell's bestfriend and a friend of mine) went down to San Diego to welcome them home and they had the helicopter hanger all decorated and families had signs, flowers and balloons. It seemed like forever before the busses pulled up and then people were running to find there loved ones. :grouphug: It was so special and emotional. There I was, watching all of this and can't see my son, :scared1: most everyone is off the busses so I start yelling his name and here he comes, the last one off the buss. He looks at me like I'm crazy but he knows that if he doesn't let me hold onto him for as long as I need to that he'll be in trouble. The second time he came home there was a great group of us waiting for him. His dad was there this time  as was my Dad and his better 1/2. Again we were waiting for the busses and I had warned my son that he better be the first one off the buss this time. I finaly couldn't hold it anylonger and ran to the bathroom and hurried so I wouldn't miss the busses. I come out of the bathroom, walked down the hall and there he is opening the door to the hanger hoping to sneak up behind us to surprise us. There is a young man walking in front of me, I push him aside (and not a gentle push) and fly into my sons arms. He wasn't only the first one off the buss, he came on another vehicle ahead of the busses so he was the first one there. Those were such special time and thinking about them still makes me cry.

Thanks for letting me share.

Here are my meet pics...These are all clickable to see the full size~

(yes I share it with hubby-hence the hockey pucks)

Oh Debbie - that made me cry....
I didn't mean to make you cry. I'll be honest with you, I was happier on those 2 days then I was on the day he was born. I wish that every American could feel what it is like to have a son or daughter in a war situation. They would get a better understanding of the situations that our government gets us into and whether it is worth the sacrafic.

OK, I'll get off my Soap Box.
