Hi Ami!

My name is Colleen. I am bringing my mom, husband, 21yo son, 20yo DSsGirlfriend and 18yo daughter. I am going on this cruise because the group I travelled with on Christmas in 05 wanted to cruise together again. Our group of 4 families went from 13 people to now almost 20. They'll be by to introduce themselves soon enough, I'm sure~

I had lunch with Aisling today!!!

Mom came too, and DS (Adrian) and DssGF (Cate.) We ate at a restaurant called Mastoris. I talked to Chad today too! He and Louise checked into the French Quarter this afternoon, corner room, they're Lovin it!

Tiggie, sorry I didn't let you know I made it home OK. For some reason, I was exhausted when I got home, maybe from the 2 sips of the Cosmo I had at lunch , but I kissed Mel and Jesse, and flopped into bed. I slept the whole night with my clothes on, not waking up at all until morning.

Thank you for your hospitality. I was SO happy to see you. You have a beautiful family, well I knew that since the cruise, but it was a real pleasure to meet John, Adrian, and Cate. I felt like I fit right in with you all, and you made me feel very welcome. Jill, it was great that you came over. I just missed Brittany, but I'll see her soon, in May. Luv you all.

Ami, I'll re-introduce myself and my crew: These are our current ages:

Me Aisling 45 (stay-at-home-mom since 7/06, former nursing home employee)
DH Mel 45 (tennis fan and league player, CAD-CAM designer)
DS Chad 21 (all-round good kid, starting law school in Sept.)
DS Jesse 14 (my baby, a freshman in high school who loves handball and video games)
DGF Louise 23 (Chad's girlfriend, a first-year elementary school teacher and a real doll)

We live in the borough of Brooklyn, in New York City. This will be out second cruise, except for Mel, who has never cruised, and Louise who has cruised but not on DCL. We were one of the Dis families who did the 2005 Christmas cruise, and had an unbelievable fantastic time.

I'm meeting some new people here on the NYE 2008 thread, and I can't wait to meet you all. Read through all the posts when you have time, so that we can all get to know each other, and have fun planning for our upcoming cruise. It really helps to have other cruisers to "talk" to since we have such a longish time to wait.

Good Morning All,

I just wanted to check in and make sure that we didn't end up on the 3rd page.

All is well here and the weather has been in the low 70's. We have been working in the yard which means pulling alot of weeds and getting out the weed wacker. We have a large lot with redwood trees on most of it but there is still a large area around the house that needs more work then I really want to do. We had a so called professional (friend of DH's) take down some trees about 5 months ago and what he also did was take out a few that he didn't mean to. Unfortunatly, what that means is that we have to bring down all of that mess and hire a chiper to get rid of it. The good news is that, we have several logs that are going to the mill and we hope that we will be able to pay for most of the cruise with that money.

I told DH about girls night out on the cruise and he didn't seem thrilled. I sure hope that after we have been married for awhile that he will be happy to let me do more without him having to be involved. Maybe I can get him to spend a few hours at Cove Cafe smoking his cigars.

I wish I was back on the Magic!!!!!!

Nan, belated Happy Birthday! Isn't it fun to go and do something just for you. And if you are anything like me, getting your hair highlighted is lthe last thing on your list to spend money on.

Tiggerwannabe, I may have missed it somewhere but what is your name? Also I'm a little confused, I know that Nan is in San Jose but you are in Florence, NJ. Are you comming to California in May? If you are and if you and Nan are getting together, please let me know and maybe we can all get together if there is time. It sounds like my Jeff would enjoy the group of men going on this cruise, so a girls night out might work just fine. It's not like we don't have time to get to know all about each other before the cruise.

My name is Colleen and I live close to Florence...

That's actually the town my Mom (Trinibjill-Jill) lives in.

My daughter, best friend Rose, her daughter Stefanie and me are all coming out to Cali May 24th!

We are starting our tour in San Francisco (5/24-25), spending a day with Nan's family in San Jose (5/26)-looks like we'll be at a baseball game that night, driving down to Anaheim (5/27 til 5/30) and then heading to San Diego (5/31 to 6/4.)

Where exactly is Lagunitas?

I like the idea of your Jeff joining our guys. I'm thinkin all the guys can do a Cigar Bar while we all hit the spa or a Palo brunch...It'll still be football/hockey/basketball season so I know they'll have plenty of sports to watch together. Aisling mentioned the cruise'll probably play new year's bowl games on the Dumbotron, my John'll Love that!

Yes Tiggie - You did amaze me when I first realized you were a lefty and reading everything backwards.

You've seen the commercial where someone hits the other person when they didn't have a V8 - realizing that was backwards is about the same.

Colleen, Lagunitas is in Marin county going North over the Golden Gate Bridge. I work in Sausalito which is just over the bridge. Let me know what your plans are and if possible, I'd love to meet you all for dinner. If you would like to be a little adventurous, Jeff and I would love to have you out to the house. You could meet me in Sausalito on Friday and follow me to the house. Jeff enjoys making Sushi for people and we could barbeque. Where are you staying in SF? Have you been out this way before? If not do you have any questions? Is Nan an old friend or a new Dis buddy? Your trip sounds great and you will have a blast.

I don't think Rose has ever been there.

Pirates of the Carribbean comes out that Friday, Nan and I have been trying to figure out how and when we'll see it. She absolutely wants to go the first day it's out. We were going to go Saturday night in SJ but now we have a ballgame to go to...what to do? What to do ?

Tig you read Debbie's post about her redwoods and her DH not being thrilled with a girl's night out, and I believe you thought it was Nan's post! Debbie, that's why Tiggie invited herself to see your redwoods! She thought it was Nan!
