New Years Eve 2007

[Disney Fans]

Hey,

We have plans to go to DisneyLand Dec.28th-Jan1.
I have dinner plans at : Blue Bayou, Carnation Cafe, Goffy's Kitchen-Character dinner,
Wine Country Trattoria, Ariels-Character Character lunch, and PCH New Years Eve Dinner/Characters and party.
Do you think these are good?
I have a 5 and 7 year old so I don't want to do anything to fancy for New Years Eve. I wonder which Characters will be there that night?
Thanks for any advice.
Any other advice besides dinner is welcome also.

When did you make your reservations? I too will be at DLR over New Years, and making dinner reservations has completely slipped my mind. I hope to eat at Napa Rose one night, otherwise we dont really have any plans. Any suggestions for NYE night itself? We will probably be spending the day in DL park...

Heyyyyyyyyyyy. That's exactly when we will be there - just DH and me. We did Blue Bayou, Jazz Kitchen, Storytellers, and Wine Country. Tried for lunch Dec 31 at LaBrea but CMs say it's walk ins only on that day. I haven't been to any of these but they are recommended. Storytellers is a secret. It's a Chip n Dale breakfast and my DH love love loves them. Woohaa ha ha.

Maybe I'll see you there. You wearing disgreen?

I just made the Resv. just a few days ago. For NY eve we made them for the special New years eve party/dinner that includes characters from 6:00pm-10:00pm at the PH hotel and the party last until 1:00pm. We thought this sounded very kid friendly. We thought we would eat, then if not to bad maybe go back into the parks(If we can get in and can stand the crowds LOL I heard it could be bad then) and then either come back to PH for the rest fo the party. The party will only be for the paid guest so that is nice that there is a limit to the amount of guest.

Isn't La Brea in DTD? From what I've read and heard from CMs during our Sept trip (chatting with 3 of time while waiting for fireworks), I would not leave the park for a minute, let alone for lunch, on New Year's Eve, lest you get shut out by crowds.

But I could be wrong, I'm just going by what others have said.

We are staying at PPH. I have no idea how weather is there in Dec. I guess I'll wear layers and hope for a locker each day. I'm wondering if DL is like WDW regarding guaranteed entrance if you are staying onsite regardless of shutting parks to crowds?

I don't know the answer to that either? I heard from the Disney Travel agent that if you are staying in a D-Resort that they count everyone. But then when I called the DL-Dine I was told that it depends on crowd and not where you are staying? But then someone else told me that they thought if you had already used your ticket that day to get in then you could use it again to get in later. So, I myself don't have the answer to that either. I would think it somehow depends on how their computer system runs and if it can keep a count on if you have been in and still counts that for the whole day then I can see where if you had gotten in once that day then you could get in the rest of the day. Hope that is how it goes.
