New Year's Day at 7 months?

We are cruising the Fantasy on Jan 4, 2014. I wanted to go to WDW starting the 31st. From a recent thread here it looks like only SSR is available then. I don't think I want to stay there. So I'm thinking of arriving instead on the 1st. Will that be limited too? How about or a Jan 2nd arrival? Where should I try first? I'd like to stay at AKL, an EPCOT area resort or an MK area resort. Thanks!

Go online May 31 (7 months out)...1st thing and see what's available. I think you'll be able to find a few choices. You won't get value or concierge at AKV (but may get standard or savannah) and you won't get standard or boardwalk view at BWV (but may get preferred garden/pool view) and you likely won't be able to get standard or magic view at BLT (but may get lake view). Are you looking at a studio, 1BR or 2BR?

Oh this gives me hope! I'm looking to book a studio. I'd love to be in the EPCOT or MK areas. AKV is good too but now that I think about it I'd like to be at those other areas.
