New Year's at DW

I will be taking my first trip to DW during the holidays and be in DW over New Year's Eve. I am a little nervous about where to be during New Year's Eve. Any suggestions? I will either be there with my 16 year old neice or a friend who is my age (we're in our "early" 40's. )
