I have this crazy idea to go to WDW for New Years! we will already be at WDW for Thanksgiving, from Nov 23 - Dec 7th, but I want to go for New Years also!

Do you thin there is any chance at all that I will be able to get a studio or one bedroom at BCV or BWV for any tine between Dec 28 - Jan 2 or 5th?

If I call Monday...

any chance at all???

thanks!

Laura :)

nothing is impossible, but, you won't know unless you call.
Asking here will do nothing more than get your hopes up.
Unfortunately, we don't have an inside track.
Here's hoping you get what you want. :)

I've been on a waitlist since June for 12/31- have two studios and trying to get a two BR still no luck. 12/28 may be available as it is a Sat night and Jan 3 and on but very doubtful for 12/29 - 1/3. Sorry:( . Have you though about renting? there were some available awhile ago for that time.

The trick will be getting 12/31. NYE is very, very popular at WDW and many folks will even come just for a day or two from other parts of Florida (wouldn't you. ;) ). As Gail says, you don't know until you try. You might want to consider taking whatever is available at DVC and waitlisting for the additional days. In the meantime, book yourself a place to stay for the night(s) you are missing. With people booking later than usual since 9/11 you may still get something on-site. In past years, you would have had a real hard time getting anything, anywhere for 12/31 at this point.

Yes, there is definately hope. We are DVC (OKW) members and wanted to go for 12/31/99 and were not chosen intiially (there was a holiday list). But I didn't give up. I called 30 days prior to our intended arrival date and had to call each day after that. We arrived about 12/28/99 and departed 01/08/2000. We got our request of a 2 BR at OKW. We were thrilled!!!!And had a great time. Members quite often cancel their reservation 30 days prior to their arrival date and that opens up last minute ressies!!!

IMHO I prefer NYE at Epcot!! We have been there for several NYE's and found Epcot to be our choice. Good Luck and Keep Trying!!!!!!!! :Pinkbounc

We have reservations at OKW for Sunday to Friday in a 2 bedroom for New Years Eve......We may have to cancel, but not sure yet. Maybe we could work some kind of trade for Hilton Head in the summer......

I'll be putting this in a form of a question to the experts on whether such a trade is feasable BTW 2 DVC members later tonight.

Thanks,

David

Curious to hear how you made out, PrincessAngel.

I wanted the nights Dec. 25-Jan. 2, and have been told 3 times that they are completely sold out. However, I was able to get a cash ressie at Coronado Springs for those days for $99 per night including tax. In order to get those rates, though, it had to include Dec. 25. I could have gotten Beach Club for $199 including tax, again including Dec. 25. The special on the rooms ended on Dec. 25, which is why the ressie had to include the 25th to get the lower rates for the whole vacation. It was a promotion called something like "embrace the magic".
